Jack Truman believes in ending the war on terror. As an Army veteran, I completely support bringing home our troops. Period. This is a war built on lies. Washington admits that Hussein had nothing to do with 9/11, and there were never weapons of mass destruction, which this entire war was based on. Americans are outraged with torture that is going on in Iraq. October is out bloodiest month to date since the war began. And Washington has reported this war is going to get worse before it gets better. Our priorities are all messed up. And my opponent, Roy Blunt's top priority is homeland security. Roy Blunt has a 95% voting record with President Bush. Our Republican controlled government has had control of our country for 5 years. And has homeland security a top priority. And a baseball pitcher can fly a private plane into a 30 story building in New York City. Are we better off than we were 5 years ago? Or do we need a change?
My opponent, Roy Blunt, opposes National Health Care. One of my top campaign priorities is National Health Care for every American. I believe it is a basic human right. Period.
According to reports, Roy Blunt opposes lower prescription drug costs, foreign drug discounts for seniors, benefits to protect Medicaid and Social Security. My opponent, Roy Blunt, supports letting drug companies win by banning discounted drug prices. Jack Truman is for the senior citizen. I will protect you. At all costs. Period. I support securing Social Security, lower drug costs, and anything we can do to protect the senior citizen.
Jack Truman supports increasing the minimum wage. Most Americans are living in poverty. We need to do everything we can to help and protect Americans. How can our government continue to ignore increasing American's wages, while they continually vote raises for themself in Washington? Something is wrong in America.
Like most Americans, I believe the people in Southwest Missouri are outraged. They are fed up. And what change. I believe the majority down here wants to clean house. And even if they do not know who is running against Roy Blunt in 3 weeks, I believe they will not vote for my opponent. We are tired of Washington, and will show it at the polls.
History is going to be made in 3 weeks. With no party help. With no money. With no local media help. And in a conservative part of America. Everything is against the underdog, Jack Truman. And I think Southwest Missourians will do the right thing, and vote for a change. I am putting my faith in the people. They will do the right thing. And on Election Day, in that booth, when voters in Southwest Missouri see the name Truman beside Blunt, the name will speak for itself.
