Going forward, it will be imperative for the U.S. to work together with the global community to support women and girls and fund existing efforts to achieve gender equality through improved access to sexual and reproductive health. Unless and until the needs of women and girls for modern contraception have been met, we cannot move forward to reach our collective goals.
