As Americans we attempted to wish that proof by necessity would work, however, we find missing threads in the fabric of the lies. When it came to the war we wanted so bad to find proof by plausibility in the rhetoric of the lies that led up to the invasion so we led by intimidation and brawl beatings over the last eight years. The war was an accident and we are paying a hefty price for our impatience’s.
Proof by mumbo-jumbo was the straw that broke the camels back. When we did not believe the lie’s they used profanity to explain there policy positions. They said our eye’s lie and our hearts do not tell the truth.
Malarkey! The U.S. interests in China are huge and its risks are paramount due to multiple wars at its borders (Iraq, Afghanistan, Pakistan) (tension with Russia, Georgia and Iran). The region is unstable and mediation from every nation is warranted to kindle reconciliation between neighbors that are at war with each other. Hurricane Gustav gave an immediate flash backs of Hurricane Katrina’s response failure. This year over 33 levees failed along the Mississippi River and the effects reflect the urgency of examining all levee systems in the U.S.
There is nothing wrong with our economy, our dollar is strong, the families of the lost soldier’s families are fine, the elderly can take care of themselves, Hurricane Katrina was handled very well, the gas prices during this administration have strengthened our economy and I have land in Iraq to sell you. Proof by imagination is fine and we can all pretend that everything is okay and proof by convenience is comforting too.
In summary are we asking who, when, where, why and how questions to resolve these impediments? Are the current standards of how our government is handling our affairs acceptable? Is proof a fact or feeling? Are we doing enough to assess, document, audit and set a contingency plan in place to resolve disconnects? Our lifelines are in peril and the U.S. have an obligation to mitigate disconnects.
The issues that face our nation can be resolved if we triage the issues and put competent people in fiduciary responsible roles to triage the lifelines to bring in balance the industry principles. This should be the top priority for the next administration.
