Why has this been suppressed to our general knowledge?
Perhaps we can say that for the ruling elite the best mode of operandi to control the world is the notion of "divide and conquer?" Since you, the reader, have been alive, how many debates about this or that have you seen? How many wars have been fought? How many body bags on both sides of the fronts of these wars have you seen on the evening news?
So they, the government, the pawns of the top 1%, keep us locked in a prison emanating as a culture of fear and wars to protect us from some enemy, while promising riches galore and a life without toil. And, you have a right to fear confronting this lie, for the fact is, when you awaken and open your mouth, you are at risk for being punished, be it in the form of prison or execution. Just think of Martin Luther King, Ghandi and Jesus Christ!
As known through the "Gaia Hypothesis" of James Lovelock, all creatures on this planet take part in making the world habitable. This happens not through some externalized God "out there", but from within yourself in relation to the inner workings of all other creatures.
The Bible presents us with an interesting dichotomy that reflects this seeming duality. In the "Book of Proverbs" it is stated about Wisdom (Sophia) "She's not in me, saith the birds." Then in the "Book of Hagia Sophia", it is said that She "pervades and permeates the world."
Which is it? Are these contradictory statements? No, for Wisdom is the Process of Nature and can't be seen. Yet, the planet, and, indeed all of Nature works and works quite well. Thus, it is said, "She pervades and permeates the world." Sophia is Process more so than Thing, Verb more so than Noun. Indeed, the Noun could be said to express the Verb. Thus as stated in the New Testament, "The Word (Verb) is made flesh (Noun)". Hence Christ is seen as the incarnate Sophia of God. This means me and you are the incarnate Sophia of God. We are vibrations that are made flesh by the senses of touch, smell, sight and hearing.
How is it you can see this screen? Is it not true that waves of light enter your dark pupils and an image arises not just behind your eyes, but in the back of your brain. And you see this screen where? In front of you? Study the field of sight.
If you studied the planet and the ways of Nature, you'd find that Wisdom pervades and permeates all of Nature. The universe will work quite well independently of human ego, if that ending is needed to save the planet.
As author Daniel Quinn argues in his work of fiction titled Ismael, the beginning of our current mess occurred when Cain (a metaphor for the civilized populations that Quinn refers to as the "Takers") slew Able (the nomadic tribes and hunting/gatherers Quinn refers to as "Leavers"). Cain was the beginning of the civilized man/woman. Able was the older, wiser tribal peoples.
We are takers, the sons and daughters of Cain. We take everything in sight. We destroy ecosystems to bring forth riches to the wealthy without end. Meanwhile we multiply and behave like a cancerous growth destroying everything in our Mother's body. And when She dies what happens to baby?
The question is, are we able enough to gain the insights necessary to move away from this destruction of the Earth-Goddess that feeds us? Can we switch over to the lifestyle of Able, in our own way, so that the Earth can know peace? The Cain that needs to be brought to peace is within ourselves, not in the external world. And so is Able, for the union of the two brothers and the change in lifestyle must be a reconciliation of the two. Somehow Cain must begin to see how his remaining stuck in the behavioral pattern he's been in for the past 6 or 7 thousand years needs to change. He can only do this when he gazes into the face of his brother and is able to see himself. There are no enemies in this universe. Only mirror images. Thus we are all, truly, brothers and sisters.
Nor should we expect to go back to the tribal hunting and gathering lifestyles. We need to be creative. There are some movements such as Permaculture and Transition Town that are helping to lead us back to an Able frame of mind. But even these should be seen as only partial ways of rethinking life.
It is interesting that some Deep Ecologists argue that the tribal way of living was the original leisure society. Indeed, it has been reported that the average Bushman works on average of 4 hours per day.
Can we creatively kindle such a world for ourselves? It will only happen when we let go of the conditioning that has ruled us for the past several centuries.
Our self-empowerment in relationship to the empowerment of all is the lesson all must learn. All of us, from the landforms to the birds and the bees have important roles to play in this singular and diverse planet that we call Gaia. And, we should give thanks to those from Christ to Ghandi to Issac Newton to David Bohm for continuing to teach this lesson, even when it appears that no one can hear the gold hidden behind the outhouse.
