And while both would like to reduce the need for abortions, they feel that it is a woman's right to choose. Is Sarah Palin more pro-women because she's a woman who wants to outlaw a woman's choice whether or not to have an abortion, i.e. take that choice out of the hands of all women and hand it to judges in courts?
Who is really a feminist?
Joe Biden almost single-handedly pushed through the Violence Against Women Act (VAWA) that has markedly reduced domestic violence nationwide since it was enacted in 1994.
But Sarah Palin was Commander in Chief of the Alaska National Guard, and administered a state. Obama didn't! This would only be meaningful if Alaska had faced a disaster like Hurricane Gustav; has it? Alaskan Guard troops sent to Iraq were not under her command, obviously; they were under Bush's nominal command; they are federalized when they serve abroad. The C in C claim is a ridiculous canard, and administering a state rolling in cash (from oil), but with less than a million inhabitants and for only a year is pretty thin experience, too. Obama's record as an administrator has to include his campaign, which is over two years old, employs thousands, has a huge budget, has reached millions nationwide, and has operated about as flawlessly as any political campaign organization can. McCain's campaign has been a mess in comparison.
But now, Palin and McCain have single-handedly protected the Gulf Coast from Gustav, don't you see? They didn't just raise money, they, uh….
And they can jump over buildings in a single bound. Take that, Obama!
