Policy choices have consequences. As Congressman Conyers said, it's not personal. But it matters. And so long as the policy choices are bad, progressives will criticize those choices, just as they praise good choices.
Representative Conyers prefers communciation with the President on these serious issues in writing:
"I want something so serious that he has to respond in writing, like I am responding in writing to him," he said.
I, for one, am glad we have progressives like Representative Conyers who have the courage to speak truth to power, even when that power is a Democratic President.
