Diplomatic tension and trade disruption
Increased insecurity and retaliatory violence
A setback in educational and business exchange
The radicalization of youth who internalize hate
A New Vision: United West Africa
Instead of rivalry, let us choose synergy. Let us launch joint youth exchange programs, Nigerian-Ghanaian trade summits, and bilateral media campaigns to counter hate with history and hope.
Let us remember that Fela Kuti and Osibisa, Burna Boy and Sarkodie, Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala and Yaa Asantewaa-- all represent an Africa that transcends borders.
Conclusion
It is time for Nigeria and Ghana to stop bickering and start building. We must reject every attempt to divide us-- whether through politics, music, or misinformation. Unity is not an option; it is a necessity for survival in a world where no one will take Africa seriously until we take each other seriously.
Let us unite, not fight. Let us grow together, not apart.
