The elections will be a deciding factor for Nigeria's democratic future and its fight against a jihadist movement on its territory that now risks spreading to neighboring countries and causing a significant upset in Africa's overall security. In the meantime, Western nations intent on denouncing and fighting terrorist atrocities should stand in solidarity to offer Nigeria and the region as a whole its outright support and protect innocent victims of this global terror. If we claim to be Charlie, then why aren't we Baga?
