11) You have sought to make us feel, foolish and feeble. You have not succeeded. Everyday we grow stronger.
12) We, who stood on the moon, now cower at the sight of ONE oil well.
13) You have lost the power to love. You have lost the power to care.
14) You need to make that journey into the wilderness. You need the quiet of the desert. Go there and search within your greater self. It might take years. We will wait for you. When you are ready to commit, come back and join us.
15) Now you are not needed. Step aside andrelinquish the reigns of power to those who are ready to commit and those that really care.
B.P, Halliburton and Transocean are to be held accountable forever. Attach their assets and put them into curatorship. They must be removed from the job, but their assets must not. Their assets must work to mend the wounds. They are not building our world, only tearing it down. We watch in horror as our people, our animals, our plants and our land and seas die. These things, masquerading as people with no conscience are not required.
I call on all you woman and men of conscience. Band together. We only have each other.
Let us drill the new wells required to relieve the pressure. This disaster has been a blot on our landscape and conscience for too long. It is time to end it.
It is not insurmountable. It never was.
Call to action. We are not immobilized by fear.
We all begin today. Get the petroleum engineers, geologists, geochemists, geophysicists and eight drilling rigs to the war zone. Let the battle begin. We need to commit to this battle. We can and we will win.
I am ready. Are you?
