And we'd be safer. By helping poorer nations push back against the effects of global warming, we will be helping to stabilize the very places where instability breeds extremism and terrorist violence. That makes incredible sense to me far more sense than sending more troops into Afghanistan or preparing to bomb the border regions of Pakistan.
Plus, it is the right thing to do.
