But it is at times like these, that I wish that the Liberator Simon Bolivar had indeed accepted the role of Constitutional Dictator/Monarch almost 200 years ago and had NOT fled to die in Santa Marta in sheer exasperation over the calumnies of attempting governance in Caracas.

Venezuela must learn the democratic lesson of grassroots representation to the top of the tree and get away from reverse of warlord/cacique dictate by person or political party.

• There is only one true democratic representation and that is government of the people by the people of Venezuela ... and that lesson has to be learned, sooner or later if Chavez is to survive.

That Venezuela and the Venezuelan people will survive, is nevertheless a foregone conclusion and politicians need to be mindful of that very truism whether I be naive or not!
