I must say, without the Nazi reference, I felt chastised when, unaware of the growing antipathy to Pete, I made a positive comment about him and suddenly felt cornered here by even flaming comments by our Dear Editor in Chief. I felt a heretofore unexpressed viciousness and was hardpressed not to take it personally, something I have become aware is a fairly useless impulse to life in general.

Anything that threatens Bernie's ascension to the throne seems might be liable for a stomping and I felt turned on in a special way, the focus of anger and a new-found hostility. I almost wondered if Rob's comment had been hacked, as mine was many years ago by some slime in the editors pack here. He's a busy guy, I figured, maybe he didn't notice. Whatever Pete's flaws, stepping into the chasm of flames that is politics takes some kind of balls in the first place, and you sure got to know how to dance.
