NETWORK for PUBLIC EDUCATION TODAY.  Take Action:the Senate Education Committee is holding a nomination hearing for Obama's nominee, John King.  HE became Arne Duncan’s No. 2 in the Dept. of Ed. in 2015. But prior to that, he spent 3½ controversial years as NY State's education commissioner where his dogmatic support of unproven school reforms, created a tremendous backlash among educators and parents who OPTED OUT.  "He' s inflexible, quick to criticize the motives of those with whom he disagrees, won't address errors, and stays the course regardless of consequences His unquestioned support for the Common Core and other NCLB reforms in NY State was a costly failed experiment. He doesn’t address errors, but stays the course regardless of consequences."Here is an action form you can use to make your voice heard.... TELL YOUR legislator NOT GIVE  AWAY OUR SCHOOLS, AND OUR DEMOCRACY  TO THE CHARLATANS.
