What any teacher or staff member in any one of LA's inner-city charter or public schools would tell you- if they weren't afraid of losing their jobs & being blacklisted, is that they are merely going through the motions, since those AT THE TOP OF the LA inner-city schools literally have no expectation that minority children can learn. These kids weren't born intellectually inferior, but by the time these schools are finished them they certainly are. The vast majority of minority children continue to be generationally subjected to what amounts to a purposefully failed public ed system.
