Climate change seems unstopable. Even if the world agreed on the PAris accords, and carried it out - two very big *IFs* - that would still be 10X less than what is needed currently. And the third world is rapidly approaching first world consumption levels, which isn't even factored into the equation. "Green" solutions involve dirty manufacturing, maintenance, and end-of-life disposal.
Geoengineering may be the only answer, along with large scale changes like feeding cows seaweed (reduces CO2 by 99%), Thorium nuclear, etc.
