Here's what can and must be done to rescue the post office, established by Ben Franklin, our first Postmaster General.

Protecting and improving the USPS is very important to protect democracy. Snail mail is the only protected method of speech left. All electronic communication is monitored and stored. The mail still has laws that keep it private and protected.

The .00001% have been after the USPS for decades. It owns some of the best real estate in the nation. Reinstituting postal banking would support the USPS a provide services for many unbanked people. It is a no brainer but of course will raise a storm of nefarious arguments from the usual suspects.

As the linked article points out, Biden cannot fire DeJoy directly. He can fire and replace the board members that approved DeJoy and appoint new board members who will fire DeJoy.

It seems to me the first steps can be done very quickly.
