Is there a relationship between political orientation and birth order?

Please not that this is not an opinion piece but real research. I am interested in finding out if there is a relationship between birth order and political orientation. true answers and participation is needed to find out.

My hypothesis is that Democrats may more often than not be second born, or other than fist born children, and Progressives perhaps other than first or second born, while Republicans may be more first borns.

I am a Democrat or lefty and a first born child.
