Does homeland security make you feel safe?

For over 225 years the United States of America had absolutely no use for anything remotely resembling a Department of Homeland Security and we most certainly do not require one of them now, as their function is to prepare us for living in a dictatorship. To this end, I recommend the disestablishment of the Department of Homeland Security, returning airport security to those in charge of airports, FEMA back to the way it was before it became an ineffective agency and the Coast Guard back to Transportation. This department has not made our country any safer and all it does is stifle more and more of our essential freedoms in the name of a so called security. Ben Franklin said it best when he stated by surrendering a little freedom for security, you neither deserve nor get freedom or security. This is no longer the country I defended. I want the old one back!
