Grindr, a social media app for LGBT people to find each other, discriminates based on social causes. They banned my account due to having a link in my profile the past year to a nonprofit organization, Humane Voters of Michigan, webpage advocating for the bill pending in the Michigan House of Representatives to ban breed discrimination of dogs.
Grindr claimed my profile was spam by simply having the link in my profile. I asked how it was spam. They could not say.
Meanwhile, there are numerous profiles on Grindr advocating for the black lives matter cause and linking to sites for protests and other action alerts. Grindr doesn't ban those users. So, Grindr is now choosing which causes can be mentioned in profiles and which should be censored. Censoring some causes but not others is discrimination. You really feel big brother watching.
