Confirmed: Human Rights Attorney Emanuel Zeltser is Free

June 30, 2009 - United States Department of State Spokesperson, Ian Kelly, confirmed that human rights attorney Emanuel Zeltser was released from Belarusian custody. Kelly said that the "United States welcomes this positive step."

It was reported by Kelly that consular officials in the Department and Embassy are currently working with Mr. Zeltser's family to arrange his swift and safe return to the United States.
