From time to time I read Krauthammer’s articles to see what ridiculous things he can come up but his article in Sunday’s paper is so outlandish that it decries believe.
Bush as Commander-in-Chief, is an euphemism which spreads shame upon those gallant presidents who have taken on the task of protecting our country. Bush was sworn in to defend the Constitution and later called it a “God-damn piece of paper”. His agenda, from day one, was to fabricate some excuse, any excuse, to invade Iraq and bring down a dictator, on personal reasons, which poised no immediate risk to us.
Has he prevented any further attacks on America? If so, let’s hear the specifics, the who, what, where. He has ripped apart our constitution, trampled on the Bill of Rights, and repudiated Geneva conventions. He has turned this country from being the “Beacon on the Hill” to being the most despised upon country in the world.
According to Krauthammer, Bush even brags about his dismantling of the three branches of government in order to support his idea of a unitarian executive. Are you proud of that fact?
Even as we speak, the US economy is on the verge of a financial meltdown due the disastrous deregulation policies of this administration, the population is being poisoned due to rampant disregard of the public good, and our environment is being plumaged at an increasing rate. Perhaps the better comparison with Bush would be with Herbert Hoover, but that is being kind to poor Herbert.
Mr. Krauthammer, shame on you for writing such gibberish. This brings shame upon all of us who love this country. Do you actually get paid to write this crap?
