Decades overdue, funds were finally allocated to compile reliable economic data in the organic farming industry. Included by Rep. Kucinich in the $82 million Agriculture, Rural Development, FDA & Related Agencies Appropriation Act, a mere $.5 million will be allocated to study market trends, consumer preferences and contracting practices in the fast-growing organic sector. Did this grow out of Michelle Obama's little garden?
