More than 40 Palestinians were killed in Gaza Monday, almost half of them children, and five civilians were killed early Tuesday when a shell fired by an Israeli ship hit their house. The Gaza death toll has risen to about 550 since Israel began airstrikes. More than 2,500 have been wounded. At least 8 Israelis have died overall, including 3 by friendly fire. |
