| FBI files released following the death of the late Chief Justice Rehnquist reveal FBI resources were used for political purposes such as digging for dirt to discredit witnesses in Rehnquist confirmation hearings. Nixon and Reagan administrations both used taxpayer money to suppress Rehnquist's possible racist past. Also exposed was Rehnquist's 10-year addiction to Placidyl, a hallucingenic painkiller. |
