Penny Pritzker is Obama's candidate for Secretary of Commerce. Back in 2004, she was Obama's first entree into the Big Donors of Wall St. She made her fortune packaging sub-prime loans and selling them as bonds to unwitting investors. Before that, her family owned the Hyatt hotels and nursing homes, noted for fierce union-busting tactics. In Obama's first term, Pritzker's nomination for Commerce was derailed by union workers from Hyatt, who organized to tell of their experience with her. This time, they may not have the clout to stop her nomination.
