How about we settle Gaza like this

Here is my solution for the debacle now occurring in Gaza. Let each side chose 50 or 100 soldiers equally armed and the battleground can be in the Sahara. There will have to be men and women, religious leaders from both sides, and of course political leaders from each side. Rules of combat are to be drawn up and ARMED international observers will act as referees and the spoils of war will be decided ahead of time. Anyone that violates the rules is to be shot immediately and the winner is of course the team that scurvies. The rights of broadcast and sponsorship will be sold on the open market like the Super Bowl or World Series and a portion of the money can be awarded to the families of the fallen. Why let the military industrial complex make all the money, when there are companies like GM and Ford that are in such bad shape. There is one problem that will have to be overcome and that is, those that have been firing rockets from Gaza and those flying jets from Israel will have to step out in the open and compete on open ground. No more protection from a hidden position or the comfort of mach 1. No, this will be more like the OK Corral where you will be looking at the other person, knowing that he may be faster and better and death is looking you in the face. But, then again that is the price of the game and at least the children are out of harms way. There is another problem. It is all you big talking politicians and all you so very pious religious. After all, talk is cheap and your bravery is all in your mouth. But-----prove me wrong and step out into the desert.
