The Republicans have far too often been willing to reward incompetence in their selection of candidates. By putting ideology and party pimping ahead of good sense and wise stewardship, they leave a legacy of damage now which may never be fully reconciled--one that puts the country last. :::::::: David Broder, hardly one to espouse any Left wing philosophy, logs several condemnations of John McCain's lack of fitness for the awesome task of the U. S. Presidency. He comments: "Said Marjorie Lukens, a registered Republican: 'The thought of Sarah Palin being a hearbeat away is terrifying.'" Time and again, McCain's instances of poor judgement have been verified ... so much so, there's no need to rehearse them here. When pressed with the question "So you think your running mate is well qualified to (God forbid) assume the office of President?" McCain telegraphs yet another instance of that unfitness by unhesitatingly answering "Oh, yes she is. Absolutely." ... A former President, when confronted with irrefutable evidence of a shameful breach of his power, answered "It all depends on what the meaning of 'is' is." John McCain's answer about the qualifications of Sarah Palin to hold the highest office in the land requires that we re-define the meaning of "is" to mean "isn't". Good judgement? Hardly.
I was born when I was yet quite young, and was second-born in a litter of two. My twin sister and I are not now, nor have we ever been, identical as evidenced by our differing balding patterns: she has very little facial hair. If you look us (more...)
