I grew up in a very religious Jewish home and am a daughter of a retired Rabbi. I feel that religion does not work for me anymore and feel that is is more of a divider than a uniter. Very easy to get along with. Married over 30 years to the same man, whom I met in Pearl Harbor Hi while stationed myself in the US Navy. I served for 4 1/2 years active and 3 years in the Naval Reserve. Thoroughly enjoyed my tours of duty and would recommend it to anyone who has no idea what they want to do in life, or just to see the world and get away from home and grow up.
Just moved out of Texas (Fort Worth) where our family lived for 6 years, because we couldn't stand the political climate anymore, nor the heat and moved to Bellingham, WA, which allows medical marijuana and has decriminalized it pretty much. It also has a Demcratic governor. I work with my husband is real estate as his admin, and help him contact folks who are behind in their mortgage payments and offer them help. The banks are very greedy and many times they do not accept the short sale, but the banks are not in the business of owing homes, so most times it works. I have 2 sons, ages 29 and 21, and 2 dogs-a Black Lab and a Shar Pei.
I believe that we should legalize marijuana, whether it be for medicinal purposes or recreational use, as no one ever died from it and prohibition never works. Too many people are in jails because of it and has ruined their lives.More people die from alcohol related deaths and cigarettes but those are legal. Doesn't make any sense.
Our country it at a crossroads now due to the gambling the banks did on Wall Street that caused the crisis in the markets. The anger is building and I hope that folks wake up to the fact that it isn't going to get better in the US until "the people" stand up and say they aren't going to put up with it. Our public schools are in the toilet, our children aren't getting the education they need and want, the jobs have gone away, and our elected officials have been bought off, including our Supreme Court, which ruled that corporations are people. How ridiculous is that? But what ready irks me is that our current president said he would get us out of these wars, Iraq and Afghanistan, which are sand pits and unwinnable, just like the Vietnam War.It needs to be solved diplomatically-but then no one will make tons of money via contracts.

I believe that a major revolution will come to the USA and soon,as the people have had enough. I can only hope.
