Because wealthy donors (particularly corporate interests) exert a pernicious influence that is extremely out of proportion to their population in the political process, we have a serious problem in need of a solution, and I think that my proposal for campaign-finance reform offers an innovative solution.

The Fog of FISA
Most reasonable people understand that the individual rights which are protected by the Constitution are not absolute, even when those rights are expressed in language that is uncluttered and unequivocal, but we should be exceedingly skeptical when someone is torturing the English language to explain why it is legal for the government to engage in activity that ostensibly is prohibited by the Constitution.

Congress has been struggling to craft a more permanent revision of the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act, revealing the competition between Democrats and Republicans as to who has a monopoly on contempt for the Constitution. Our so-called "war on terror" is an endless war; therefore, we are unwise to jettison essential elements of our Constitution because the thought of Islamic terrorists induces us to wet our pants.
