And a little child shall lead them: how to get single payer
(4 comments) I write today to offer a modest proposal for how to focus Congressional attention on the health care issue, and encourage them to discuss how fix the system: with a nice little single payer plan. The idea was given to me by the charming Alex Lange, who lives with his clever parents in Colorado.

The Joy of Conspiracy Denial
(32 comments) It occurred to me that I haven't seen anyone examine the mental comforts of conspiracy denial, using the handy tools of amateur psychology. It's my guess that there's considerable comfort to be had, especially for men, from an acceptance of the official explanation for 9-11.
