While she's at it, she's asked China to help us fix our balance of trade and she's asked India to help with our labor outsourcing problem.
She's asked the heads of ten major energy and automobile companies to help us resolve the energy crisis and she's called in coal mining, chemical industry and heavy metals companies to help solve the problems we face with pollution.
To get final answers for food safety, she's suggested that the lead lobbyists and directors of cattle slaughterhouses and farming conglomerates put together proposals.
To heal our moral decline, she'll appoint James Carville to resurrect biblical characters.
Oh... The first one is true. The rest is what we can expect after she's president. If choosing Greenspan to dig us out of our economic problems is an indication of the change and new ideas she'll bring to the presidency, well, welcome to the 1990's. What else is new?
Remarkable how limited a view she brings.

It's true. Asking Greenspan to step in and solve the financial crisis is like asking a bank robber to step in and solve the bank robbery problem, by committing more bank robberys.
It's not very well known that economists and meterologists all go to school at the same place. They're given a list of words, high, low, rising, falling, approaching, departing, increasing, decreasing that can be used in either profession, interchangeably.
Then, they're given a lecture: Yesterday is gone and tomorrow doesn't exist. You can say anything, predict anything and no one will ever notice or remember. You are being conferred a degree in irresponsibility with a specialty in ambiguity.
The frumpy ones with faces like an unmade bed, Auden-like, are given diplomas making them economists. The more photogenic are given diplomas making them meteorologists.
The whole thing takes about thirty minutes.

This is where Hillary truly stands, as she offers the stick at her party to Alan Greenspan, an Ayn Rand objectivist acolyte, so he can take a few more swings at the donkey like he did in the 90's. Bob Rubin is up for his turn to get a few whacks in too.
But, wait a minute, this is no pinata, this is the actual Democratic donkey! What do you expect to come out of it when they break it? It's not going to be treats! It's going to be what we're picking up from the floor right now; the pieces, tatters and shreds of the American dream.

I saw this today and nearly spit my coffee up on my keyboard. I mean SAY WHAT?? Isn't 'the maestro' largely to blame for this mess in the first place, I mean other than looter capitalist enabling Republican fascists and Judas Clinton 'Democrats'?
This is the utmost in through the looking glass surrealism, the Ayn Rand worshippers like Greenspan have been exposed as the little sycophantic cultists that they are and the Clintonist Dems are eager to accomodate the illusions of a dumbed down public that continues to be sold on nothing more than hype and public relations bullshit.
The Randists are all out there in Galts Gulch digging for fools gold and the DLC charlatans like Clinton have set up shop in the middle of 'Camp Idiocracy' to sell their 100 proof cure all snake oil.
