Mission Accomplished. We've taken back the house and senate after six tough, years, and now the hard work of cleanup and re-visioning begins.

Dreams have come true for tens of millions of Americans and billions of the people on this planet.

Hope has returned.

We face an incredibly new world. At this time, it's too early to be sure, but it looks like the Dems took back the house AND senate.

The possibilities are endless. The potential for failure to act and lead also looms large.

There are great new leaders, inspiring progressives and liberals in both the house and senate.

Senior members of the house and senate will become majority chairs of the committees.

Neanderthals like James Imhofe will no longer be able to deny the reality of global warming.

John Conyers will chair the house Judiciary Committee.

We will see a blossoming of investigations.

Hopefully, enough wil be uncovered and brought to Bush and Cheney so they will see the logic of resigning and copping lesser pleas with minimal sentences.
That will make House Majority Leader Nancy Pelosi the first Woman President.

I'd like to see the US pull out of the "go naked" globalization orgs, like WTO, WB, CAFTA, NAFTA, etc.

We need to rein in corporations-- encourage smaller businesses with more competition, Support small business, penalize businesses that outsource and offshore.

We need to redefine loyalty, traitors, heroes. We don't have enough heroes.

The clouds have lifted. The shadows on our democracy and our constitution are already receding. We must hold the Dems'd feet to the fire, and make them undo so much of the damage the Rightards (right wing retards-- thanks to Jane Hamsher for the word) have done to our laws, regulations, goverment, economy, commons...

There is much to do, much to think about much to say.

The sun is rising. We will prevail. We will, as Nancy Pelosi has said, "Drain the swamp," and bring the American spirit of Democracy home.
