Open Letter to John McCain

Tell A Friend

Every few days I get yet another mailing begging me for money for your campaign.  There is always explicit language about my being one of your supporters.  But I do not support you for president.  You are an abomination, because of your support for President George W. Bush and his unjustified, immoral and illegal Iraq war.  Everyone who sees a McCain presidency as a continuation of the Bush administration is totally correct.

Apparently I receive all of your solicitations and phone calls because years ago I contributed a small amount when you were running in the primary against George W. Bush.  As an independent, back then I saw you as someone with integrity and honesty.  That is no longer true.

Your unabashed support for Bush’s war and your public actions showing admiration for him are an insult to your military and public service career.

It is not, as you assert, that the presidential race “will be won on experience, issues and ideas, because that is what separates me from my Democrat opponents.”  What really separates you from the Democratic opponents is you embarrassing, disgraceful and disgusting support of Bush and the Iraq war.  You are nothing but a warmonger.  You have no valid basis for being president.

Any why are so many lobbyists working for your campaign if you truly are against corporate corruption and the high costs of so much lobbying?   It seems that you whole straight-talk pitch has been a clever but deceitful lie.

So stop asking me to “renew” my commitment.  I never have made any commitment whatsoever to your current run for the presidency.  And I deeply hope that the vast majority of Americans will reject a McBush presidency.

By the way, for every mailing I receive I take all the contents, place them in the postage-paid envelope and send them back to you, so that your campaign loses a little more money.

So perhaps you should keep sending me solicitations so that you waste more money.  I especially enjoyed tearing that big photo of you and your wife into little pieces and returning them to you.

You ended your last letter to me with “Please let me hear from you soon.”  Consider this my response.  And for god sake, stop saying “Joel, you are part of my winning team.”  Get the money you want from the idiots that support the Iraq war and think that wasting the lives of thousands of Americans has been justified or ever will be.

McBush indeed!

I deeply hope that the vast majority of Americans will reject a McBush presidency.

This is a well-said, forthright and candid; an unabashed repudiation using some straight talk about the so-called "straight talk express!"

Your “McBush disclaimer” memorandum is blunt, yet staidly, unequivocally true.

Thanks, Joel!

FLAG THIS!

As long as we are imagining someone "could" explain anything to McCain and that he would take the time to listen...?

Some really should tell him this:

"You Johnny boy, we all know the Military/Industrial Complex wants you for their little bitch... and boy are they gonna grease you up and let you have it but good! (Remember those bruises on W's face? Not from a pretzel - buy a clue!)

They want you to be their little boy toy commander-in-chief so they can continue their program of making war for the next 50-100 years. Profit margins and all that, ya know.

Now, we all know this, how come YOU can't figure it out, mister McCain? OR maybe, just maybe... you like being their little butt puppet? Hmmm? Tough guy!

( It's true. Someone has to say it!)

You sound offended . . .

.  .  . because you wound up on a mailing list.  Well, because I changed my registration to Democrat, solely for the purpose of voting against Hillary Clinton in Pennsylvania's April 22nd primary, both the Obama and Clinton campaigns are hitting me with "unwanted" solicitations for my vote and, of course, for cash.  I'm not really offended, though I have to laugh at their lies: they keep talking about a middle class tax cut after both of them voted to increase taxes starting with the 25% bracket, which is prety much working class!

But, don't worry: come the first opportunity following April 22nd, I'll switch back to the GOP, and I will be voting Republican in November!  :)

Everyone is entitled to their opinion....

Everyone is entitled to their opinion, however I want to voice that not everyone is against Bush and the War.  I, for one, think Bush is doing an outstanding job of keeping our soil safe and free from the Headlines they are receiving in the middle east.  I think he has done a wonderful job telling the world you can not pull a stunt on America like 911 and get away with it.  I am proud of my President and I will be voting Republican this year, particularly for someone who is going to follow Bush's footsteps.  Furthermore, it is probable that McCain is choosing Romney for a VP and Romney's strongest suit is economics.  In my opinion, the pair of them make a sound choice for this country's future.

Victoria, are you for real?

I'm sorry if I missed the subtle irony if you were just pulling our legs for laughs. But if you actually are a McCain supporter you are one of the very few I have seen comment on a website. I knew that there were people who had voted for him (after all, not ALL of the votes are counted electronically), but I didn't know that any of them could actually read and write.

Oh, by the way, not to burst your bubble, but as logical as it might seem to select Romney as a running mate, that just isn't going to happen. I don't think he is a member of the Council on Foreign Relations. Nope, unless THEY are planning on assassinating him for sympathy votes, I am afraid you're going to have to settle for Huckabee.
