Barack Obama has done it again. What a great performance in the Thursday evening debate. He was personable, he knew the issues facing Texans and the nation. He clearly articulated the issues and his stance on them and he was sharp. Most important, he was Presidential. He looked like our President. He would not partake in childish bickering. He chastised both the debate panelists and Senator Clinton for introducing frivolous topics like that surrounding allegations that he plagerized a line in his stump speech.
Jamal Simmons, a CNN Political Analyst said it best when he stated that no one cares about fights like this. He was right. The audience booed Senator Clinton after her snied remark..."This isn't change we can believe in...this is change you can xerox."
Obama stayed above this fray. He sounded like A President. But unlike some Presidents and Presidential hopefuls, he was not at all arrogant. He said he plans to meet with our international friends and enemies alike. He believes that the President should take the lead to repair our international relationships and take advantage of new opportunities as they present themselve like that of Cuba.
And like a great Commander-in-Chief, he reminded us that his priority is keeping Americans safe and as President he will go after anyone who threatens our nation and its people.
In the two hours of talk and discussion, there was no question who our next President will be.
