I've noticed a couple of things that have me a combination of suspicious and discouraged. The one thing that stands out is that in spite of all the talk about ending the Iraq War or hearing about how well it's going, the Mainstream Media facts we hear are way more casualties and even more troops being sent over and being made to stay longer. And when I say talk I mean just that. We are now having Presidential debates and it's year and a half to the election. I'm fifty-four years old and I've never seen anything like it. I do appreciate Joe Biden saying on This Week at ABC Sunday that the Democrats troop withdrawal dates are not set in stone. Comforting isn't it? So I'm going to guess that the troops withdrawal dates are a sugar plum thrown in to cover all the additional Pork spending that frankly I don't hear much detail about in the News. Another 120 Billion for these Wars. Does anybody have a realistic idea of just how much money that really is?  I'm frankly left to wonder why GW Bush would bother to veto this bill. So I look for simple reasons and what I come up with is to stall. Stall and play carrot on a stick politics with the proven simple minds of Americans. By the way, does anybody have an idea how much 120 Billion dollars would help shore up things like Medicaid and Social Security? OR how about the infrastructure it could help repair or modernize? No, I suppose the real money is in blowing things up and rebuilding them again in foreign countries. Or just pretending to rebuild them. Right Blackwater? Bechtel?

I hate being discouraged and suspicious. I hate being played. Someone tell me again how the Exxon profit of 9.3 Billion dollars is simply the result of Free Market economics? You do realize that if it was simply the higher price for crude that Oil companies have to pay raising the retail price of gas then their profits surely wouldn't be increasing exponentially, as you would expect their costs too would be rising with the higher price of crude offsetting profits. So it can't be, that is until you realize that the oil companies use the so called Open Markets to sell their contracted crude to their own refineries and then on to their own distributors all the while passing each price doubling on to the ultimate consumer. That's you and me. I suspect that without all this "free market" price machinations that Americans would be buying gas for 50 cents a gallon. You know, Like in Venezuela or Iran. Funny how they hide the gimmick right under our noses.

Just one last comment today. A bitter-sweet positive. For those who refuse to believe that there is a Media Black out on 9/11 Truth, just ask yourself what happened to Rosie O'Donnell?  Well, she mentioned something about jet fuel can't melt structural steel. I also notice that the context of her remark isn't being widely discussed. In fact her remark isn't discussed at all except in passing as the Main Stream Media makes their case that Rosie is a misguided nut case. Of course the "Donald" gets to weigh in with copious coverage to tell "us" that he told you so. The "Donald", that anointed media voice of the "People" who somehow sprang on the scene almost coincidentally to replace the slain John Lennon as a cultural "POP" star. Except The Donald is the Entrepreneurial "POP" star of this New Age of corporate despotism. Just ask yourself what an elder John Lennon would be saying about the War on Terror, Iraq and of course 9/11? Several clues as to the general direction of Lennon's thought might be found in the last known statements of the like minded Kurt Vonnegut, profiled at Op Ed News and a few other places not Main Stream. Main Stream's Eulogy referred to Vonnegut as an "Off Beat" opiner with a loyal "cult" of readers. So Rosie, It's up to you. Do some more research and make some more statements. I know it's asking too much and we all know what will happen to you for your efforts, but a befuddled society really has no where else to turn.

Still all in all I see America as a Nation of huge Heart, Vitality, Strength and the ability to withstand and survive. Withstand and survive this current parasitic, Global elitist slag, entrenched, laying over the top of us. America will again find her way. Perhaps my vision is short. Perhaps America's consumer economy, Trade Imbalance and Deficit spending is in some small way empowering a world that will someday replace the current Globalist Corporate-Banking regime with a world system of maintenance that will foster every Individual as an all rights possessing Human Being. Who will be free to imagine and create a world that the Cosmos would be proud to claim. Now that's an Evolution I can believe in!
