Ms. Jane Stillwater is a bit mixed up about the Middle East.  Her article in www.opednews.com, August 11, 2007, “Truth & Reconciliation: The Israeli neo-cons need to 'fess up!” makes incorrect assertions in every paragraph.

PM Olmert is not doing nasty things to Palestinians in the name of Apartheid.  He is doing nasty things to some Palestinian terrorists or wannabbee terrorists in the name of self-defense.

He has not herded any Palestinians anywhere, anytime.  He and his predecessor have created a defensive barrier to stop Palestinian terrorists from killing innocent civilians.  It works. Since the construction of the fence, terror attacks have dropped by more than 90%.

He has not treated anyone like they are "less than human."  He has treated the terrorist threats emanating from the West Bank and Gaza Strip much the same way that any nation would....road blocks and curfews and lock-downs and strip searches so that the Palestinian terrorists can be stopped before they blow up innocent civilians.

Meanwhile, Israel does nothing while Hamas terrorists in the Gaza Strip fire more than 2000 rockets and mortars in to Israeli cities, after Israel unilaterally and unconditionally withdrew from the Gaza Strip in an historically unprecedented peace offer in the Fall of 2005.

Since Arafat signed the Oslo peace accords in September, 1993, there have been in excess of 28,000 Palestinian terror attacks against Israel, killing almost 2000, injuring almost 7,000, and causing billions of dollars of damage.

I wonder what Ms. Stillwater would want her government to do if a neighbor state fired even just one rocket into an American city.

There is no "apartheid" in Israel.  What Ms. Stillwater mistakenly calls "apartheid" is Israel's restrained and measured defensive strategies to prevent Palestinian terrorists from murdering even more Israelis.
