What Really Happened at the State of the Union

Dear Friends,

As most of you have probably heard, I was arrested before the State of the Union Address tonight.

I am speechless with fury at what happened and with grief over what we have lost in our country.

There have been lies from the police and distortions by the press. (Shocker) So this is what really happened:

This afternoon at the People's State of the Union Address in DC where I was joined by Congresspersons Lynn Woolsey and John Conyers, Ann Wright, Malik Rahim and John Cavanagh, Lynn brought me a ticket to the State of the Union Address. At that time, I was wearing the shirt that said: 2245 Dead. How many more?

After the PSOTU press conference, I was having second thoughts about going to the SOTU at the Capitol. I didn't feel comfortable going. I knew George Bush would say things that would hurt me and anger me and I knew that I couldn't disrupt the address because Lynn had given me the ticket and I didn't want to be disruptive out of respect for her. I, in fact, had given the ticket to John Bruhns who is in Iraq Veterans Against the War. However, Lynn's office had already called the media and everyone knew I was going to be there so I sucked it up and went.

I got the ticket back from John, and I met one of Congresswoman Barbara Lee's staffers in the Longworth Congressional Office building and we went to the Capitol via the undergroud tunnel. I went through security once, then had to use the rest room and went through security again.

My ticket was in the 5th gallery, front row, fourth seat in. The person who in a few minutes was to arrest me, helped me to my seat.

I had just sat down and I was warm from climbing 3 flights of stairs back up from the bathroom so I unzipped my jacket. I turned to the right to take my left arm out, when the same officer saw my shirt and yelled; "Protester." He then ran over to me, hauled me out of my seat and roughly (with my hands behind my back) shoved me up the stairs. I said something like "I'm going, do you have to be so rough?" By the way, his name is Mike Weight.

The officer ran with me to the elevators yelling at everyone to move out of the way. When we got to the elevators, he cuffed me and took me outside to await a squad car. On the way out, someone behind me said, "That's Cindy Sheehan." At which point the officer who arrested me said: "Take these steps slowly." I said, "You didn't care about being careful when you were dragging me up the other steps." He said, "That's because you were protesting." Wow, I get hauled out of the People's House because I was, "Protesting."

I was never told that I couldn't wear that shirt into the Congress. I was never asked to take it off or zip my jacket back up. If I had been asked to do any of those things...I would have, and written about the suppression of my freedom of speech later. I was immediately, and roughly (I have the bruises and muscle spasms to prove it) hauled off and arrested for "unlawful conduct."

After I had my personal items inventoried and my fingers printed, a nice Sgt. came in and looked at my shirt and said, "2245, huh? I just got back from there."

I told him that my son died there. That's when the enormity of my loss hit me. I have lost my son. I have lost my First Amendment rights. I have lost the country that I love. Where did America go? I started crying in pain.

What did Casey die for? What did the 2244 other brave young Americans die for? What are tens of thousands of them over there in harm's way for still? For this? I can't even wear a shirt that has the number of troops on it that George Bush and his arrogant and ignorant policies are responsible for killing.

I wore the shirt to make a statement. The press knew I was going to be there and I thought every once in awhile they would show me and I would have the shirt on. I did not wear it to be disruptive, or I would have unzipped my jacket during George's speech. If I had any idea what happens to people who wear shirts that make the neocons uncomfortable that I would be arrested...maybe I would have, but I didn't.

There have already been many wild stories out there.

Hi

The Living God is done Mourning the death of God’s son. The fight has never been fair what good would it do to show God’s GREAT POWER 2000 years ago? Very few of You even have a clue who this being is. We used to throw rocks at people until they died for even saying God’s name. Believe me that is not pretty. Does this tell You any thing about this Being. God has been letting the proud get proud for 10,000 years. Mourning is over! woe to the walking dead who killed The Living God’s Son.

Cindy the corps(e) never had a chance look into every one of there eye’s all You see is FEAR!

A writer is a rogue goose. All other gees fly in a flock formation; every goose knows his place and time for honking. The rogue goose is undisciplined. He leaves the formation indiscriminately to have a look at it from aside. He roams back and forth, takes a peep at the leader, honks a little bit from behind, distracts everyone and writes on what he sees. Time passes and as he wants to return back to his place he discovers someone else there. Thus he either has to wait until they land for rest...

I have sent this to Cindy and I am putting it here too. Hope

In 1840 Michael Lermontov, the Russian poet was sent to Caucasus War and fought there as an Officer. He fought bravely but there was no hate in him towards the people there. He hated war. And he wrote the poem below. He was a brave man. Casey Sheehan also was a brave man. This is my tribute to him and folks like him.

God Bless Cindy Sheehan

My Will

My dear brother, I would like
To stay alone with you
Today they told not much is left
For me to live, and though
You will recover soon and home
Will greet you with fanfare
I doubt if anyone thereof
Remembers me so far

But still.. if someone there would care
To ask about me
You tell them that my wound was bad,
That death with honor I preferred
To our medics and regrets
To hills and meadows of my birth
As dying wish I send.

I guess you still might see my dad
And mom, although to make upset
Them both I would not like.
So, them you tell that I am still
Alive, and writing day and night
But as you know, the soldier's life
Not always gives you time.

There's a girl next door..
I guess, she doesn't remember me
So long ago we parted..,
Still, you tell her everything, let
Her cry, so ever icy heart
Thaws back, that gift would be the last
Of mine to country of my birth.

M. Lermontov. My Will
1840

Cindy should arrest Bush

Death with honor is a prized ideal, that is really authentic when a said war was justified. Iraq on the other was planned before 911 although 911 was used as its excuse to invade Baghdad over Saddams bourse of Weapons of Mass Destruction.

Even the Supreme Court Appointed President said Saddam had nothing to do with 911 after they captured him, and has been distancing himself from the fact no Weapons of Mass Destruction were found.

So a War that was lied about from the git-go sending troops into battle over really a grab for someone elses resources called Oil, or a march of aggression and imperialistic private greed, is hard to translate into dying with honor. ...from troops who have been lied to die to.

Retreat to have peace said by the Supreme Court appointed stolen election candidate GWB is not what we do. Retreat I would say is something you don't do in a legitimate war! Neither hindsight is wisdom, or second guessing a strategy, as he exhumes on the audience. And I say to that his forsight was not wisdom and his strategy was not really thought out.

He is now bribing the environmental community to accept his lie, and dishonorable War by saying he will open the gates to renewable fuels and ethanol research. He has agreed after all these years we have been telling him and his criminal associates to begin using ethanol. All in order for us to suddenly change our minds about his failed administration.

How can we change our minds? How can we smile upon his blantant performance? I sadly shake my head in pity to his attempt to bribe the people.

Cindy I wish you the best.

Ethanol is not an option and it is immoral to use it.

I am very sorry but as an engineer and a chemist I would like to state that ethanol is a fluke.
First: we here want to make ethanol from corn. It not only immoral (using food as a source of fuel when there is a shortage of food in the world and US), it is irrational. In a sort of way it means to do a mass production moonshining. Such irresponsible idea is suites Bush very well although I doubt if he understands the difference between ethanol and say, ethyl.
second: Ethanol vapor is more volatile than gas an unlike gas- it effects people and everything else pretty fast. You will have a bachhanalias of drunk people everywhere. They are also very flammable and guess what, very tough to contain. Unlike gas ethanol dissolves in water and that means that we will have all kinds of freezing problems. Ethanol, of course can and will be abused by teenagers.
Last but not least: you need much more ethanol than gasoline and although it can be used in the internal combustion engines it cannot be used in airplanes, power stations, home heating, etc. It is not that easily transportable as well as there is no pumping devices to pump it on a mass basis.

Bush knows that. That's why he throws that bone.
Why no one comes out and says one thing: you don't use food for fuel. It is abomination against God. It is abomination against people.

How about this

Very will put Mark. Tell me what You think of this? What if we separate all organic garbage that every home has. (and the home owner will separate it as they threw it away) and make methane out of the organic garbage. Ever made a salad and threw away a lot of organic garbage. (Also to help end poverty we have to reduce the monthly payment that ever one pays and the garbage could now be picked up for free.)
And then we can shred all the other garbage into fibers and make all kinds of New Composite materiels ( by shredding garbage you save the energy it takes to melt stuff down as they do now :')

I am not sure I understood that

1. I would like to see those homeowners who will occupy themselves with shredding garbage. That would be quite a revelation.
2. I am not sure about how lowering monthly payments ( for what?) will reduce poverty.
Poverty cannot be 'reduced'. It is a social phenomena and it is associated with the rich. Poverty is a part of society as soon as it accepts such thing as super- rich. Of course, we can reduce poverty for one person but that is all.

3. Methane can be made from the organic garbage but that process requires heat, it is pollutive and also methane cannot be used in the engines, neither it can be used in aircraft. Also, methane is gas and try to store it, be my guest. To store gases like hydrogen or methane we need hidrides, the materials which absorb gas and release it when heated. Those materials are remarkably expensive, also very tough to make.
4. Instead of spreading illusions and magic we should acknowledge that the real way to get rid of energy crisis i to get rid first of individual cars, return to public transportation and also pure electrical ways like electric trains and trolleys. Individual means of transportation should be limited to, say 50 mph and restricted in usage. That would also mean a very different consideration on what life is.

Now, do you think we here are capable of doing it or we just listen to the Cancer- in- Mischief farting about us addicted to..him ( because he is an oilman, right)

Randy, darling, I can be as bad as anyone else.

O

i did not mean the home owners shredding there garbage. The technology to be able to shred every thing You throw away will take some thinking. We will have to shred it in away that You get the thin fibers to lay out strait so You can cross the fibers w/ clue. one layer one way then the next layer another way and so on. Do You see how that becomes a new stronger material?
