A people is doomed if its leaders lack clarity of purpose, thought or direction. Likewise, a people is doomed when its leaders lack a clear idea of whom they are serving and whom they are leading. It is important for a leader to retain popularity at least, and all the more so when popularity becomes indistinguishable from effectiveness.
But when it becomes popular to victimize or scapegoat a particular minority, who among the rest of the population will have the courage to speak up, though not a member of that minority? Is there such a thing as a common vested interest? How would such a common vested interest be defined? Are there some rights which, once forsaken to some, will therefore, by definition, be forsaken to all? And is it not only in this context that the rights of others are relevant at all?
Some of these questions have been addressed when great minds have explored the topic of "other-regarding conduct." The concept of 'other-regarding conduct' is expressed in the golden rule: "Do unto others as you would have them do unto you." The concept places a value on human life per se. The idea behind this is that when one devalues the lives of others, one devalues one's own life. This notion presupposes that one considers oneself human, and that humanity is a quality common all, to others as well as self, a common denominator, as it were. These premises are shared to varying degrees by most people across the spectrum of humanity without regard to race, sex, origin, religious affiliation, or wealth, but certainly not adhered to by all people everywhere.
Some people, as odd as it may sound, actually believe themselves to be better than the rest of us, and thus their lives are (in their minds) more valuable than other peoples' lives. In a very real sense, these people consider themselves superior, super-human, above the rest, and privileged as to their very right to life and to enjoy life. For this reason, these people have no qualms about meting out a different standard of justice and life-appraisal to others than they would consider fair if meted out by others to them. They have a different standard of "other-regarding conduct" toward others than they expect and indeed require others to have towards them.
And what of men? What does it mean to be a leader of men? What manner of men will forsake leadership and consign themselves to be led? If one can be led, cannot one be misled?
In order to lead others, a leader must first lead himself, think for himself, and follow his own direction. And at no time is leadership more crucial than when a people is to do battle. The first great challenge of a leader is to know when to do battle and when not to do battle. Similarly, a truly great leader must know how to do battle. And every truly great leader knows that when he has forsaken the lives of his fellow men, he has forsaken his own life, for only by preserving the lives of his fellow men will he be able to preserve his own life. Only by the good graces and fierce loyalty of his fellow men will he be granted the continuing ability to lead. In this way, a leader's good graces will be called upon in leadership. This is the meaning behind the sayings, "Anyone who seeks kingship over all must look after the needs of all," and "Anyone who aspires to kingship must serve the needs of all." It is not enough for a leader to serve the needs of the elite, for the elite will not report for duty on the front lines of the battle field. The elite also fancy themselves to be leaders. But in reality, they are neither leaders nor followers.
If the American people understood how many Iraqi civilians have been killed and continue to be killed as direct and intended result of the U.S.-led invasion and occupation, they would immediately see that the Iraq War has become counter-productive. As citizens, we need to take back our government. As the late Tip O'Neill used to say, "All politics is local," and local is a good place to start --but don't forget to call your friends in other states. A nationwide concerted effort can raise the awareness of the American people, starting at the local level –and give the people back their government. The world is waiting. The world is counting on it. The time is now. Americans must inform themselves. Informed human beings have to get the word out. The media won't do it. Governemnt won't do it. All we get from them is more lies and more war propaganda. We currently have war criminals occupying the White House, and we currently have an ongoing holocaust in Iraq. Last but not least, we are on the verge of having a total police state in the United States. And we WILL have a police state in this country before the current political elite change course --that I guarantee you --unless the American people take back control of their country first. Otherwise, our current political elites are facing jail time --AND THEY KNOW IT!!!
I am an American citizen of good legal standing. I have long believed in the great principles upon which this nation was founded as embodied in the U.S. Constitution. As a Notary Public, I took an oath, not only to refrain from participating in the armed overthrow of the United States government, but to uphold the Constitution of the United States and to defend the Constitution "against all enemies."
Up until recently, I was pursuing a career in fincancial services, providing insurance, mutual funds, mortgage refinancing, and notarial services. Five events changed my life focus: The 2004 "election;" the invasion of Iraq; the events of September 11, 2001; the passage of the Patriot Act; and the atrocities committed at Abu Ghraib and Guantanamo Bay, Cuba, and the ongoing crimes against humanity in Iraq. By March of 2005, in light of several discoveries I had made about the events I just mentioned, I made the unprecedented decision to inquire into these matters myself, and to pursue justice, as grandiose as that is. I quit doing financial services and dedicated myself to doing further research into these matters and to begin to write. In attempting to expand my knowledge on each of these "discoveries," I visited the bookstore and the public library.
I am willing to grant that our government is run by human beings, and "human beings make mistakes," but none of these five events were "mistakes." After doing research online and reading about fifteen books on the 2004 election, 9/11, the invasion of Iraq, and Abu Ghraib, I have reached several major conclusions about the recent history of the United States .
The 2004 election was rigged and fraudulently carried out, as was the 2000 election.
9/11 was orchestrated for the purpose of providing a pretext to invade Iraq and so that Bush could declare that the country is "at war,"and thus seize complete control of the federal governement. The 9/11 attacks were carried out with the full knowledge and assistance of top officials "accross the board" at the CIA, the FBI, the NSA, the FAA, the Pentagon, both United Airlines and American Airlines, and the Bush administration, operating in concert with al Queda.
Al Queda was created by the CIA during the Arab-Afghan war and maintained and protected by the CIA, the Pentagon, and the FBI after the conclusion of the Arab-Afghan war, leading right up to 9/11, even though the top officials of each of these federal agencies knew al Qaeda's plans, including 9/11.
Ever since 9/11, the federal government of the United States has been run outside of congressional control in secret out of "Site R."
The U.S.-led invasion of Iraq was a war of aggression --a war crime --that the American people were lied into. It is a crime against peace and a crime against humanity as defined by the Nuremberg Charter, Principles, and Agreement, and the Geneva Conventions, and also a violation of the Hague Convention, the Kellog-Briand Pact, numerous statutes of international law and the U.S. Constitution.
The abuses and torture (as well as murders) at Abu Ghraib Prison were intentional and officially sanctioned at the highest levels of the Pentagon by sick and twisted criminals in the White House and at the highest levels of the United States military.
