To the tune of Alice's Restaurant

George’s Restaurant (to the tune of Alice’s Restaurant)

Chorus:
C G C
You’ll never get anything you’d want

G C
At George’s Restaurant.

C G
You’ll never get anything you’d want,

G
Not at George’s Restaurant.

C* C
Don’t you sweat what’s on your plate …

Am
George will decide and it’s just your fate
-Chorus-

Oil can get anything it wants
At George’s Restaurant.
But you’ll never get anything you’d want,
Not at George’s Restaurant.

Came in through the supreme back door
Now no one ever did that before

Came in again around the back
With a silly smirk and a Diebold hack

Now what’s gon’na happen when George is gone?
It’s got to get better … though I could be wrong!
-Chorus-

What you gon’na do when the bill comes due?
The kids will just have to sweat and stew but
-Chorus-

*Note: This C sounds good when played with a G cord shape barred at fret #5

Web Site

I've wondered how much interest there might be in a web site devoted to this kind of thing.   One person might contribute chords, another lyrics, yet another instrumentation or voice.  People could even contribute by just editing together other's contributions.
