Great lecture

     Really excellant speech , dude.

Again, it just indicates the need to end this charade of  a 'two party' system and create more political plurality.

The democrats were never a reliable opposition party....  too often displaying collusion and naked self interest.

Part of the roblem is the consolidation of the media that's becoming ever narrowed. Soon it'll be like Rupert Murdoch or Disney running everything you see or hear. Them deciding which candidates you'll vote for -as they do now (given the total blackout on Dennis Kucinich or even Ron Paul)  The media dumbs down the political dialogue.

And now because of yet another liberty stealing law (re: 'online terrorist' act) by uttering the word 'revolution' -I become a suspect. But there really does need to be some kind of revolution of some manner that shakes the power brokers from their perches that restores the liberties that we lose each day.

Thanks for posting it here... I'm definitely passing this link along.

I'll second that

Agree 100%, it really was an excellent lecture. I really can't add much to that without launching into a diatribe about the dirctions the country is taking, the latest straw on our back being the exclusion of Dennis Kucinich from the democratic debate today in Iowa.

But my comment is not a campaign ad. My problem is that most of us just cannot let go of the hope in our bones that a residual glow remains from that bright light produced by a handful of inspired men, now dead some two hundred years. Intellectually, I was debating the total sham of the system with a lifelong friend who spent his career in Washington, working for the government - and that was in the early 80's. No one I personally knew was more aware than he what was happening and yet he refused to relinquish belief in the fundamental process in the face of my arguments. And yet even as late as today, I find myself dismayed at what is happening in Iowa, which I must recognize as a clear indication that I too must be hanging onto some shred of trust in our country, in spite of my intellectual process of more than 30 years.

This excellent lecture is terrifying in its way, but sometimes I wonder if we are even capable of really recognizing disaster until we can empirically recognize it. I wonder even now if we must follow the path of the Germans who went before us, who could not see until their own destruction had been so total.

But enough said. I'll just leave it at saying that this lecture should be heard by all Americans.
