If you must break the law, do it to seize power: in all other cases observe it. ~ Julius Caesar

In 2000, the long fought for and long admired democracy of the United States of America began a slow and steady decline toward fascism - a Bush family tradition - with the installment of a president - a man the citizens overwhelmingly rejected (although the funny math told a still believed myth) - by a few corrupt judges on the US Supreme Court. That coup is now nearly complete and checkmate is all but unavoidable.

Let me first point you to the Bush administration's so-called Wall Street bailout bill, here, so that you can see for yourself that this treachery is being conducted in the light of day. Fascism is finally and formally out of the right-wing closet even if the F word is not yet openly being used (although it should be, and often).

Now, if you do not yet understand that the Wall Street crisis is a man-made disaster done through intentional deregulation and corruption, I have a bridge in Alaska to sell to you (or Sara Palin does anyway). This manufactured crisis is now to be remedied, if the fiscal fascists get their way, with the total transfer of Congressional powers (the few that still remain) to the Executive Branch and the total transfer of public funds into corporate (via government as intermediary) hands.

Adam Davidson of NPR blogs about the so-called bailout bill as follows:

I would guess that this has to be one of the biggest peacetime transfers of power from Congress to the Administration in history. (Anyone know?). Certainly one of the most concise.

The Treasury Secretary can buy broadly defined assets, on any terms he wants, he can hire anyone he wants to do it and can appoint private sector companies as financial deputies of the US government. And he can write whatever regulation he thinks are needed.

Most importantly, Davidson points to this passage in the bill:

Decisions by the Secretary pursuant to the authority of this Act are non-reviewable and committed to agency discretion, and may not be reviewed by any court of law or any administrative agency.

The Bush family, in the form of Prescott Bush, has tried a more aggressive coup before in order to install fascism in this country. This treasonous plot was called "the Business Plot," because the high-level plotters - including Prescott Bush - were Wall Street men who openly supported fascism.

It seems this time around, the Bush family is trying the more subtle approach to open bloodshed:  first create a crisis, then  under the guise of addressing that crisis, overthrow democracy. Yes, it does sound terribly conspiracy-theory-esque when explained just this way. But what else does one call a criminal conspiracy to destroy Congressional powers permanently, alter Judicial powers permanently, and steal public funds?

As I see it now, we have but two options and I have long alluded to hoping against hope that one of these options would not be the only one left to a peaceful people. The first and frankly most preferable option is for  Congress to immediately begin impeachment proceedings against the members of this latest Business Plot.

No time needs to be wasted on hearings as we already now have in writing, formally as presented to Congress, the intentions of this administration to nullify Congressional powers permanently, to alter Judicial powers permanently, and to openly steal public funds using as blackmail the total collapse of the US economy if these powers are not handed over. You do see how this is blackmail, do you not? You do see how this is a manufactured crisis precisely designed to be used as blackmail, do you not?

The other option, the one I have long prayed we would never need to even consider, is a total revolution. But, If Congress won't act in its own self-defense, in the defense of democracy, in defense of us - the people who have elected them to protect us from this very danger - then what is left for us to do? I don't want to see it come down to this, but I fear that it will. Put your party politics aside right now. We are in a crisis so dangerous that should these people succeed in their coup, your party affiliation will no longer matter, your American flag will be a nice collectible item of something that once was, and your version of God will be worshiped in secrecy because your freedoms will be owned by the few.

You are no longer Republicans, Democrats, or any shade of voter. You do not live in a swing state or a solid colored state. You are simply this: an American. That is the only side that matters. So call your members of Congress and demand, no, declare that unless they do their duty to the Constitution and to us, we will move to the streets - not because we want to, but because our founding fathers demanded this duty of each and every citizen in the face of such a domestic enemy. Demand - as is your right - that this bill be voted against and demand - as is your right - that the people plotting this treachery be held to account. We are either a nation of laws or we are no longer a democracy. Pick a side, because there won't be another time, another moment, another chance to be a patriot.

George

My man.  You should know better than anyone our revolution failed.  We did get our freedom, and the king got his freedom from having to provide security which was way too expensive since we did not want to pay for it.  But ownership remained with the British Crown and Hanover Elect,  the rulers of Britain and the Holy Roman Empire.  Their descendants are todays elite.

We are still free, sort of, so long as we pay tribute.  These financial shakeouts are just a way to pay the tribute.  As are the wars we enter at the direction of the elite.

Go ask your self why you signed the Treaty of Paris in 1783 where the King dictated the terms.  This was 2 years following the British "surrender'.

Ben, John and Tom all spent a lot of time in Britain and France before the Constitutional Convention. Surely you knew what they were up to George.

The French elite came on board after the French Revolution and they "sold" us Louisiana.  The rest of the Bourbons came over with the Treaty of Paris in 1898 that ended the Spanish American War.

Of course, we tried to break away, but the War of 1812 and the Civil War the British and French agents started made it tough. Thanks to Russia we avoided being split, but Lincoln and the Czar paid for it (hey, at least we got Alaska and Palin).  Also, a multitude of Presidents getting killed, shot at or dying in office weakened us.  Any hope of breaking free ended with the Federal Reserve and JFK's death (the one myth I still keep).

Today, our top leaders openly get knighted by the Queen.

Thats one theory, anyways.

I am a Christian and anyone who believes the second coming of Christ is upon us, needs to know that we created this mess. I would like to do whatever it takes to give my family a planet with resources to prosper.

This is so wrong

We are going to be paying for this for years. And these are the less government republicans? Set no regulation; buy whatever the banks are selling us. Let home values swing wildly out of control until the people at the bottom of the pyramid are stuck holding their lots, literally. Then when we have been uncovered, shut it down and stop buying mortgages. Now use American money to save their pensions; not working American pensions, the CEO’s of banks, mortgage companies and mortgage insurance companies pensions. This is not our America any longer, is it?

National socialism

or the corporate state= fascism. How did we forget in just 63 years?

Sadly our dumbed down "electorate" will still be in denial when the concentration camps are full.  Blackwater most likely has a full closet of black shirts at the ready.

Secession of some western states may be all we can hope for?

Comment from Ratings:   Excellent article. This is what was done which caused the crash of 29. Stop the bailouts. The market must correct itself and those who invested unwisely will pay. NOT the taxpayer. Yes there would be some adjustment but not as severe as the bailouts will cause.

Yes this is Fascism and must be stopped. Taking away all controls from Congress to the Courts is pure dictatorship.

Bush made a statement that he must remain in office indefinitely, he is declaring a crisis. Well he is the crisis and needs to be impeached NOW.

Great Article

Great article. You know, like you, I write a lot trying to warn people of what is happening and what is coming. Sometimes I think that we are just preaching to the same flock. People, you need to redouble your efforts to reach Joe Six Pack out there. It is we, the people, who have the ultimate power; and it is we, the people, who are allowing the criminal trash to destroy this great nation and world. The criminal element counts on the masses of people to be too stupid to know what is going on and too stupid to be able to do anything about it.

I hope my observation is relevant

So many are comparing this crisis to what faced FDR when inaugurated in March, 1933.  I disagree in two ways.

The degree of absolute belly-to-backbone physical state of citizens is not there yet.  Perhaps it also makes sense that US military was at  broomsticks-for-rifles status then. Now a military economy is what sinks the country.

Of course, what is protecting people now are those institutions started by the New Deal.  SS, FDIC, SEC, labor and lending laws.  This is a case of bad economic conditions globally.  SAME for both eras.  Old empires crumbled after WWII, and resulting emerging nations are being courted by "hegemonies" now.  That is the diplomatic fix made worse by over-stimulated trigger happy leaders.

This is not democracy versus socialism as we blame others when times are uncertain.  Cold War I is over.  What will transpire now is an accommodation of various economic styles which have need to trade in a digital age.  Just think: One can make or lose money just  by trading dollars and Euros without even leaving the keyboard.  Things were working relatively well when the US was "the greatest country on Earth."  The dream could have lasted longer but we blew it when we "drill, baby, drill" and "shoot, man, shoot."

Now might be the right time to use the phrase we were scoffed at for using earlier:  "If we are in a war, we all need to sacrifice."

Your insight is always greatly appreciated.  However, I wish to point out that democracy is a form of government whereas socialism is an economic system.  In the United States, for the purposes of propaganda, democracy has historically been linked in opposition to socialism, but that is a false dichotomy.  One can have a democratic, socialist system, and one can have a dictatorial capitalist system.  In America, we are supposed to have a Democratic Republic in terms of our political system, but we are in no way constitutionally locked into a particular form of economic system.  In fact, the founders struggled with the idea of inheritance as inconsistent with the basic precepts of our founding documents, just as they struggled with the idea of slavery.

You seem to have remnants of the cold war propaganda arguments still influencing your contemporary thought.  Your notion that we are somehow doing well moving wealth around sitting at our computer screens ignores the fact that a country must create wealth in order to prosper.  We have used up most of our national natural wealth, and now only the production of consumer commodities for sale in the international flow of trade will produce wealth for us that can create surplus wealth to rebuild our infrastructure, finance our schools, maintain our standard of living, advance in the sciences, maintain a standing army, and otherwise retain the position in the world we heretofore have held.  However, multi-national corporations have moved our industrial base from our shores to nations where the labor force can be better controlled and exploited for longer hours at lower wages.

This situation leaves us with socialization of local resources as our only means of rebuilding our country into a wealth surplus generating entity once again.  Our army is wrecked, our treasury is plundered, our industrial base is gone, our social security doesn't exist, our health care is a fiction, and we are a nation that produces very little of actual value for the rest of the world.  How can we possibly fix this situation without the cooperation necessary that comes from socializing new ways of producing commodities, teaching our children, caring for our sick and old, training our soldiers, and learning completely new ways of thinking about what we need as people to live full lives and what we do not need?

We are quickly becoming a fascist state.  Look at history and see who the fascists immediately attack and who is first to fight fascism whenever it may arise.  You will find the natural enemy of fascism in the history books.  You will find that it is always the same.  As Hemingway would quote regarding the Spanish Civil War and his time with the Lincoln Brigades, "Ask not for whom the bell tolls...".

Hoyer & Pelosi set the pace

Hoyer quickly rushed to the podium and made a motion "to table" the Cheney Impeachment Bill H.Res. 799, just moments after the Bill was introduced on the House Floor by Kucinich, thereby setting the pace for the 110 Democratic Congress, "play along to get along".

There would be no impeachment of Bushco and their minions, no scrutiny whatsoever, on their watch. On the contrary, Bushco could fully count on Hoyer & Pelosi, without any reservations or hesitations, to give him everything he wants, whenever he wants, for whatever he wants, even more than he wants, on every occassion, either real or created.

These two Bushco "cheerleaders" , Pelosi & Hoyer, have now set the stage for Bushco to rule supreme over America, perhaps indefinately, a virtual imperial monarchy, literally, above the reach of law, and without accountability, so now, with a manufactured colossal Financial Meltdown in process and out of control, Bushco sees their wildest dreams come true, and they quickly make it all official.

So the long night of Corporate tyranny is at our door. As we peasants face the new Dark Ages, I have to ask this. How long before the US defaults on it’s own treasury securities? In 1929, the US actually had an industrial manufacuring base. We don’t now. How long before the enclaves of wealth lie in piles of smoking rubble? Oh, that’s right. That’s what Blackwater is for. So I’ll be seeing most of you in the new Republican tent-city Bushvilles springing up across this broad land. Or in those spiffy new DHS “Internment camps” KBR is so feverishly building.

And I, Alone, am left alive to tell thee the tale.

There is a lot more to this!

I've known about the Coup since the late 80's as being in a family for more than 26 years who is directly involved in it's support.  The Coup is led by the same groups as during the 1933 Coup but this time they laerned what to do to succeed.  There's another Iran/Contra Affair only this one is more than huge and involves a fleet of over 100 planes airshipping Drugs into the US with the CIA.  The proceeds from Drug sales are to FUND "Black Op's" in support of the Coup.  The family I was in opperated one of the planes and were caught in Mexico last year with a reported 4 Ton's of Cocaine.  Who was caught is still at large principly because the family is an CIA Asset.  You can search on "Clyde O'Connor" as he is my ex-sister-in-law's brother.  It's all in the family with this one!

The Banks and Financial area are some of the main culprits overseeing an army of supporters who effectively do "Gang Stalking" on their victims.  Intimidation and harassment works!  murder has been known to happen as well.

The National Archive released research done on how and who supported Hitler's rise to power.  The SAME groups are involved today with the addition of other families, such as the DuPonts.  I personally know about them and have met a DuPont erported to be involved by the family.  I also knew about 911 prior to it happening and was told in the 90's only then it was explained as "Something BIG is planned which is going to start everything!".  Independant investigations have surfaced interseting links with the 100 plane fleet and flying school involved.

The Bailout is one step towards a day these people call "The Change".  While threatened by involved family members, "When The Change comes, you'll either WITH US OR AGAINST US.  If you're AGAINST US, you'll end up in one of the many Prisons (Detention Camps) around the US".  Halliburton was granted a 390million project to build "Detention Camps", pictures available on the Internet.  Some people have reported stored "Box Cars" with some containing Shackles mounted within.  The family talked about this as well.

The family said that "The Change" will be preceeded by a collapse of our economy starting with lending and housing.   Right now maybe it's best to see this as a HUGE money grab for those preparing for the family reported collapse.

There's unfortunately a lot more for another time....

Loop - there is more you need to learn.

Yes, the deregulation happened as you say, however the powers behind the change are as I mentioned above.  As mentioned, I learned about the plans now being executed back in the late 80s and during the 90's.  Even though the US is supposed to be a Nation of Laws, the reality is our Nation obeys power and twists the laws to suit the powers to be.  This should be easily seen with the Indictments being handed out in the not so well publicized Federal area.  However, it's much worse than this as the family I was in joined what is commonly called "The Shadow Government" or better known as "The Political Mafia".  This is the real powers to be that twists our laws to suit them unfortunately.  Of course we all like to feel we are protected by our laws and this would be true if our laws were really working for us.  But right now thay aren't and haven't been for a very long time.  It's the money from big business and the Banks that are modifying our laws to suit their interests.

It's real Loop, just as I stated above as I spent more than 26 years right in the middle of it.  Any questions?

losing the protection of the constitution

our founding fathers left europe to escape the tyranny of the monarchies and installed the constitution to prevent the same thing from happening here.  if we let bush get away with this power usurpation we will lose our republic.  all the major news services are part of the corporate clique who expect to share the power when the republic is destroyed.  if congress won't impeach they are complicent in the conspiracy and betraying their constituents too.  just like europe in the 18th century we will become victims in the 21st.  i'm afraid it's already too late if they've killed the constitution.

I agree

As a conservative and Libertarian, I agree.  How many people know Ayn Rand was not a Republican?  She met William F. Buckley once, then never met him again - she would not be in the same room with him.

What we need is pure capitalism, not Fascism.  We need everyone a greedy capitalist, not just the few conrolling the economy.  The problem America faces is that very few people control the economy.

We need everyone their own corporation.  We need everyone greedy, so the wealth gets spread around.

Check out the Ayn Rand Institute, and you will read they oppose people who do not want to see other people wealthy.  I want to see everyone wealthy.
