Votes are being stolen, now, by hundreds of thousands--and the Democrats aren't doing anything about it.  RFK, Jr.

http://airamerica.com/ringoffire/blog/2008/sep/22/rfk-j...

Robert F. Kennedy, Jr.: There are about 30 scams the Republicans are deliberately using, particularly in the swing states to get Democratic voters off the rolls. These scams originate in the so-called Help America Vote Act, which was passed after the Florida debacle in the year 2000. It was originally suggested by Democrats and Republicans, but it was passed by a Republican Congress with a Republican senate and a Republican president. And instead of reforming what happened in Florida it basically institutionalized all the problems that happened in Florida. And institutionalized a series of impediments that make it very difficult for Democrats to register, for Democrats to vote and then for Democrats to have their votes counted.

One of these requirements under HAVA is called 'the perfect match,' and what that does is little known but it is devastating. A quarter of the voters in Colorado have just been removed from the rolls because of this--[and] just this one scam. And what it does is, they use a computer system to compare your registration application to all [your] other government records in the state. So they'll look at your Social Security records, your Motor Vehicle records, and any time you've had any interaction with the government, and if there is any information on your voter registration that is different than the information on another government record that they find, they remove you from the voting rolls.

For example, if I registered as Robert F. Kennedy Jr., and yet my motor vehicle license said Robert Frances Kennedy Jr., I'd be removed from the rolls. If your initial is different, if you leave an initial out, if you leave a "Jr." out, if you leave a hyphen out in your name. And what they've done is a study in New York that said 80% of the errors are errors by state clerks taking down this information. And particularly [in] immigrant communities, [where] people tend to vote Democratic, people have namesŠspell Muhammad with an "o" instead of a "u"

(Crosstalk)

Papantonio: Are the Democrats suing to stop this?

RFK, Jr.: No, the Democrats are doing nothing to stop it. In New Jersey, which is a swing state, 300,000 voters in New Jersey were just sent letters saying that they are now ineligible to vote. New Jersey is nice enough to actually notify them--most states will not even notify them. And New Jersey intends to send out 870,000 letters so that is three quarters of a million people off the voting rolls in a state that could decide this vote by 50,000 votes. And these are Democrats that are being pushed off the rolls.

Let me tell you about one of other scams people should know about. If you're a newly registered voter--and of course the Democrats have done these gigantic registration drives--12 million people on registration--if you're a new voter, you MUST include your license or some other state I.D. when you come to vote. What that means is that if you're a college kid--and college kids now, they're sending in absentee ballots, they're not going to the voting place, they do everything online or they do everything remotely. They don't dream of going to the precinct house voting on election day and waiting in a long line. So if they send in the absentee ballot, and they don't include a color copy of their [driver's] license, their vote is going to be thrown into a trash can. And none of these people know this, because you had to have to read the law in order to know it. There is no notification [of this requirement] when you fill out your registration form, so all of those 12 million people that the Democrats have registered--those ballots are going to be just thrown out.

Papantonio: And if Democrats won't talk about this, how the hell's anybody gonna know about it? I'm involved with this kind of thing every day--I didn't know that until you just told me. The media is not talking about it. How in the hell is somebody gonna find this out? It's just incredible.

RFK, Jr.: Hopefully--Obama is getting $66 million a month--hopefully somebody in the Democratic organization is going to pay some attention to this before Election Day.

Am I early on to this article or ?

Where is the outrage, people, my fellow citizens?!

Of course, this might well be "old news", we all know about efforts -- even successful ones -- to steal elections, correct?

Recognizing the increasingly evident assertion of Ralph Nader -- which I discounted in Bush vs. Gore -- I accept the Tweedle Dum - Tweedle Dee contest as given.  But, unlike Ralph once upon a time, I still prefer 60 tree stumps to a 100.

So -- where's the outrage??

Of court the do-nothing Dems are doing nothing.

That's what they do.

And if they accidentally win an election, they concede to the Republican so that the Republicans can be blamed for everything the Democrats vote for, and the worst the Democrats can be blamed for is failing to oppose the Republicans they concede to, support, and protect from impeachment.

It's a racket. Congress is nothing but an organized crime syndicate.

Don't vote -- it only encourages 'em.  ;)

Reply: Mark is a Republican in wolves clothing

Just ignore him. He is advocating to not vote which is the same as a vote for McCain. If that is what you want then by all means vote for McCain / Palin and more wars, no health care, increased poverty, increased infant mortality, and a complete assault by Palin on the environment. Sounds like everything we stand for here at OpEdNews.

I AM outraged!

But I don't know what to do about it. I sent a copy of the interview to the 400 some folks on Oregonians for Obama, and a copy tot he Obama headquarters. But what can be done as a private citizen? We need some attorneys to get involved and get a suit going. This just makes me furious. As far as the"don't vote"suggestion above-I guess if you don't want to take any responsibility for your life, that's the way. I just haven't given up on this country yet. Give me some idea of what to do as a private citizen and I'll be there!

The Dems

aren't doing nothing, while the R's steal votes.

The Dems are furiously at work denying ballot line access to anyone they think will draw votes from a Democrat.

This is what they do, but they obviously do not want us to realize it.

Check it out-google Herb Hoffman, Maine and see what they did to one of their own who turned Indie.

Where IS the outrage? WHERE are the comments?

As I write this, there are only 5 comments!

I, for one, AM FURIOUS! I recently re-registered after moving back from out of state, and after 3 months I had to call the Secretary of State to make sure my registration took. I got no confirmation, nothing to indicate I'm ready to go for 11/4.

Apparently I am registered, absentee. I NEVER check absentee. But there it is...I'll vote absentee, but I don't have a Cali Driver's licence yet, so I guess my Arizona License will be a problem if I have to photocopy that and send it in...

I'm no dummy, but this could get confusing. Now I know there is a design to it all. What is this country leading to? (Hopefully not a PALIN/McCain Presidency.)

The outrage?

Oh it's there, but it's getting no attention. When you have mass corruption from the top it breeds like wildfire all the way down, emboldening anyone who is like-minded.

Look at the evidence from the 2000 and 2004 elections. No mainstream media coverage, and the bits and pieces that are covered - for instance JFK Jr.'s expose of the Ohio elections in RollingStone magazine - no attention paid on a national scale.

Meanwhile, in Alaska, the McCain campaign has virtually taken over the state legislature in violation of the Hatch Act, but no one's pressing charges. Not to mention the myriad of abuses and crimes of Bu$hCo that continue to go on unabated with zero accountability.

The GOP continues it's conquest of voters by using voter suppression but they keep telling their sheeple that it's VOTER FRAUD that's ruining the elections and these sheeple believe this lie, not bothering to investigate the truth - that it is ELECTION FRAUD that is the problem. Big difference there. Here is a link to a ridiculous article about it:

click here  IF you know anything about what happened in Ohio in 2004 this article from the Heritage Foundation shows just how much koolaid these people will drink to further their own party.

Here's another article to read:

Oh, there is outrage, everyday there is more shock and awe - fodder for more outrage day after day for years. It can be tiring, overwhelming, and discouraging, then pile on top of all this the fact that the Fourth Estate is for all practical purposes DOA, well, everything seems to be working quite well for someone, not me, not you, but someone.

I did this two days ago

I went to the SS admin and made sure my name and address were correct with them.

I went to the DMV and made sure my name and address were correct there.

I updated my voter  registration to make sure it all matched.

In Florida this is a serious issue and we should do whatever we can to make sure it all matches. It took about two hours of my day. It is worth it when you consider my children's children need a thriving country and planet too.

this is the solution

by holding our first national convention we will be able to propose an amendment which standardizes the voting process, reducing points of failure while increasing accuracy.

the way to create the support for the convention is this: http://www.articlev.org

Who are we kidding? Ourselves, it seems

Once again, Americans in massive numbers place their hope in, pay homage to and rally around the candidate of their choice that will lead them to higher places - a better life - a future for their children.

A candidate, one of two, rigorously vetted and approved by cabals of self-serving, secretive people that are our true masters. Self-appointed and moneyed interests that will be obeyed.

Those Oval Office contenders less likely to deliver were failed during the primaries.

Both surviving candidates have received their marching orders, and both understand the ramifications if they deviate. AIPAC is not to be triffled with.

Each candidate spouts carefully rehearsed and lofty words, espousing ideals and inspiration that will, in actuality, be meaningless.

Meanwhile, the vote manipulators gear up, lay their groundwork and shape the vote before it begins. The fraudster co-conspiators will further shape the vote count afterwards. Diebold insiders plan a celebration - again.

As the big day approaches, the commentators, the pundits, the experts, the insiders and the networks all rejoice in the grand deception - the elaborate ruse - the grand hoax. Viewership and profits soar. Backslapping is widespread.

And once again, the puzzled foreigners watching from afar absouletly laugh their asses off at this most curious American ritual.

So many layers of manipulation and restrictions on us

This has been going on for some time but has gotten so egregious it is almost publicized. There is a reason why we only have two approved parties and a winner take all system; it makes sure that the powers that be maintain their strangle hold on us and give us two less than good choices as no choice at all with the least amount of effort. That is if we even overcome all of the voting system corruption that damages our system and makes us 17th on the list of democratic countries, not first. Third parties were always places to get change or even supplant one of the other parties in the past when we had freer elections (for white men only). It will be hard to have a clean election this time. Two previous presidential elections have shown how they steal them.

Silence of the Scams

After 2004 I wrote a piece, "Silence of the Scams" published on OEN, about psychological resistance to facing voter fraud. I called HAVA - the Help America Vote Act, Hide America's Voting Anomalies.

There is a new film out by Dorothy Fadiman, called "Stealing America, One Vote at a Time." We should have house parites and get it in theatres soon.

In addition to those dirty tricks, there is a kind of primitive hysteria on the media about Obama and hate speech that borders on sedition, with effects akin to the propaganda that was on the radio in Rwanda inciting people to violence. When I was in Boston early August I heard an AM radio show with Monica Crowley that was bizarre and hysterical. She was playing excerpts from Eddy Murphy movies, compairing lines to Obama, calling the upcoming Democratic convention the biggest freak show, realy inciting fear. I think this kind of speech is like calling "fire " in a movie theater, and should be illegal. Listeners are vulnerable to being manipulated. This should be simillar to "malpractice."

The Obama campaign should also be doing messaging specifically to calm people's irrational fears and demystify manipulation - not just talk tough and make rational arguments against McCain.

Gratitude to Robert Kennedy Jr for getting htis out now. This is not surprising at all. We should do what we can to spread the word and get it on media.

Ridiculous

I just got absentee ballot instructions.  It clearly states what the requirements to vote are and what kind of proof I have to send in with my ballot.  CLEARLY.  I am sure that New Jersey does the same thing.  Voting absentee is not rocket science or does not appear to discriminate against anyone.  Someone is lying. 300,000 people in New Jersey cannot follow absentee ballot instructions?  Come on.

Why do certain groups of people, usually Democrats, think that they are exempt from what look like sensible and easy requirements when it comes time to vote.  And if they are not allowed an exemption it is voter fraud or racism or whatever.  Rules are made for everyone.  The rules, to me, are simple and easy to follow.  If we didn't have voting rules then think about the possibilities for fraud.  Fraud can be, believe it or not, committed by BOTH parties.

If someone is really unhappy about the requirements for absentee ballots they can vote in person.  And if their name is not on the rolls for whatever reason most states allow voters to cast a provisional ballot in order for the voter to get his/her voting status cleared up.  This is pretty simple and straightforward too.

What I recommend that Democrats do is spend less time whining about alleged voter fraud and vote suppression and devote more time to teaching their voters how to legally register and legally cast a ballot.   Stupidity and ignorance is where they have the biggest problems when it comes to voting.
