Additional Comments From Election Integrity Advocate Jody Holder of California (posted with permission):
There is a YouTube video showing an election integrity advocate being
arrested for merely trying to see a written notice of whether a
canvassing board meeting was being held. She was barred from entering
a public building without any written order, just the verbal demand of
an official. She was not warned to leave the premises, nor was granted
her due process rights. You can watch the video here:

Dear Ellen:
Historically it has been the experience of many seeking to make our
electoral system transparent, to exercise their rights as citizens
under the Bill of Rights and state election codes, under state open-
government codes, that an exception has been carved out for those
involved in running our elections. When a governmental department
repeatedly thwarts the ability of the public to see what they are
doing it should raise a red flag of alarm.
The election industry, including vendors and election officials,
appears to be running a criminal enterprise and abusing their public
trust and duty. What is happening to Ellen is an egregious violation
of due process, includes multiple violations of her civil rights, and
is an affront to the very principles upon which this country was
established. This has gone beyond election integrity issues and raises
issues that are core to our Bill of Rights. Has the American Civil
Liberties Union become involved or been informed? Other civil rights
or liberties associations or organizations become involved?
Too many election officials in this country believe that they can
violate or ignore the law, and continue to do so with impunity. Yet
the consequences of their attitude and actions result in a thwarting
of this being a country consisting of a government legitimately chosen
by the citizens. This is a fundamental attack upon our country more
dangerous than any external terrorist attack. The decisions made by
office-holders have a direct impact upon life and health issues that
can impact thousands and even millions of citizens. Election officials
who engage in such conduct are domestic terrorists and should be
treated as such.
I would suggest there needs to be a centralized national reporting
base for reports of official abuse or violation of election laws and
the right of citizens to observe all aspects of our elections. As long
as such incidents are treated as isolated incidents it will be
difficult to get the national attention it deserves. I would suggest
it is an area of law that should warrant a federal justice department
investigation, including by the FBI.
