After reading this headline I know what you're thinking; no way in hell could that possibly be true. Trump isn't good for America in any way, shape or form. I can understand how you feel that way but I'm telling you, you're not looking at the big picture.
Donald Trump is good for America in the sense that most Americans have been asleep. Barack Obama did things behind the backs of most Americans that would've caused an outrage if anyone had been paying attention. Of course, there are some paying attention, but people believed that they were either wearing tinfoil hats or that there were just trying to stir up trouble. During the presidency of Barack Obama we bombed seven nations and put many journalists in jail. We carried out drone strikes that wiped out entire families and sent hellfire missiles into wedding parties. We arm Saudi Arabia and then help them with their logistics to refuel the planes and supply munitions so that they could kill fishermen and farmers in Yemen.
I don't have to tell you how we armed the Syrian "insurgents" in that war to topple the regime of Bashir al-Assad, I'll have to tell you how we armed these so-called "freedom fighters" who were really members Al Nusra which is just a branch of Al Qaeda. The only reason that the Syrian government survived was because the Russians stepped in. There are so many things that we have done in the name of "democracy" under the tenure of Barack Obama, that people just let slide because they weren't paying attention.
Now, suddenly, people Are paying attention because they are afraid of what Donald Trump will do because of his unhinged personality. It seems as if 90% of the news stories are either about Donald Trump, his administration, or its policies. Barack Obama never got that kind of attention even though he certainly deserved to be scrutinized. The way that the press and the people are scrutinizing the administration of Donald Trump is what the American people should have been doing with every American president. Just because Barack Obama was supposedly "progressive" Democrat, he was a corporate warmonger that destroyed the nation of Libya and continued the disastrous war in Afghanistan. Under his administration, this country funded the so-called "revolution" in Ukraine that overthrew the Russian backed government. Even though these people openly embracing fascist policies, we didn't blink and I if they sided with the Western powers.
Everything that Donald Trump does is under the microscope, not only by the corporate owned mainstream media, but by all those people that write and broadcast programs in the alternative media. I don't know if you realized this, the mainstream media has lost 40% of its viewership in the last few years. There are many Americans that will not get their news from the corporate controlled media. They realize that the major networks are nothing but propaganda outlets for the military-industrial complex and corporations. It is those people that fund their broadcasts and increase their bottom line. These reporters will not bite the hand that feed them, and the editors and those who have the power to censor anything that would upset their advertisers will make sure that they don't.
Even though the corporate media is totally corrupt, it is still refreshing to see them fighting against the administration of Donald Trump. It is refreshing to see journalist's fact checking what the administration is telling the American people. It is also refreshing to see how many people are coming onto YouTube and producing podcasts that tell the American people the truth without the censorship that the mainstream media uses. Because of Donald Trump, alternative media on YouTube along with other venues is growing at a very fast rate. Shows like Jimmy Dore, the young Turks also known As the TYT network , Ring of Fire, The David Pakman Show, The Majority Report and also, I don't want t leave out Democracy Now\. These broadcasts constantly separate fact from fiction. Most of these alternative outlets will dissect news from the mainstream media as well as the utterances from the Trump administration.
Not only has Donald Trump brought energy to the Democratic Party, the loss of the presidency because of the candidacy of Hillary Clinton has also caused people to scrutinize what is happening within the party as they realize that corporate Democrats are no better than Republicans. I left the Democratic Party years ago when I saw how Barack Obama lied when he said he didn't take corporate donations in 2006. When I learned who was backing the candidates running for office in the Democratic Party, I realized that they were not going to act in the best interests of the American people. Many understand that since the candidacy of Bernie Sanders. Most of us realize that Bernie Sanders would've been president if the Democratic Party hadn't sabotaged the Democratic convention.
It is interesting to see how many people are running for office and declining contributions from corporations and PAC's, and how these relatively unknown people are unseating corporate Democrats in the Democratic primaries. The election of Donald Trump as not only illustrated the corruption of the Democratic Party, is also turning the Democratic Party to the left.
