If Obama's gonna get all that change Warren's critics want, he'll need to get everyone on board.
In Chicago, the judges eat lunch with the bankers and the mafia. That's really how things get done. Aldermen and brokers are also at the table, along with the rabbis and reverends and priests and mullahs, and a lot of them are GLBT, too.
It's the same with health-care. Single payer will work if everybody's in the pool. Maybe that's why they call it the United States.
Interestingly enough, Catholic theologians have a term for this parochiality--
It's called the Commensal Table.
That's what threatened the Roman, slave-based, society about the Christians and Jesus. That's why they had to kill him. He let the slaves eat at the same table as their "masters".
Not to be left out, even the Republicans can be inclusive. They even found a union they like. The Prison Guards' Union.
