One thing I can't stand are those folks those that champion capitalism and see them do it with a straight face a straight face. When you tell people them that we exist under predatory capitalism, the well-off will tell you that it your fault, and pull yourself up by the bootstraps. While there are some people that are entrepreneurs and did pull the bootstraps, more than enough of the wealthy people in United States have never actually had to do any manual labor and came from rich families.

I don't want to say things without backing them up. The things I want to tell you I will back up with facts. First of all this country hasn't seen workers' pay rise since the 1970s. Another thing that is really scary is that the defense budget is 54% of our discretionary spending, and that was before they added another $56 billion to the defense budget. Meanwhile, nondefense spending it goes like this: education and training comes to a whopping 15%, transportation and economic development comes to 19%,

Getting back to the statistics, the environment, science and energy is 12%. With climate change is threatening to destroy humanity, it's only 12% of our budget. Economic security which includes heating energy assistance and snap and food stamps are 13%. Meanwhile this government is cutting food stamps so they can save some money. They don't worry about saving money when they give tax cuts for the rich and spend willy-nilly on the military-industrial complex, but I will get to that later in the article. Just to finish off to statistics we have law-enforcement getting 12%, and the State Department gets 8% of the pie. That just proves that it's better to arm the country and wage war, than it is to use diplomacy.

Meanwhile, the big new thing is socialism! It seems that the rich and the corporations are scared to death when they hear that word. Now I have been a Socialist since 2004, you can call me a democratic socialist or regular socialist, but this is what the new socialism in United States wants.

Yes, they want a "Green New Deal", can you blame them? The major backers of this that are wanting to stop climate change that is predicted to be unstoppable in 12 years. The people for pushing this most, are the young people in Congress, those who must live with the effects of climate change are the old men and women in Congress could care less because they all be dead by the time climate change ravages the population.

What I really want to talk about is how all these corporations through their campaign donations, control our politics: these defense contractors , with their campaign donations, and all the fossil fuel industries with their campaign contributions, are doing everything they can to demonize any type of socialism. They have bought, through their paid politicians, the right to deny climate change and that extends and even the president of the United States.

People that are talking about communism or strict socialism where all industries are nationalized and everything is run by the state, what people want is for the giant monopolies to be broken up and the banks regulated, and large corporations pay their fair share taxes and for the workers to get a decent wage tied to productivity. I'll think that most people would not object seeing Exxon and Chevron and other large corporations there their fair share of taxes. The most disgusting thing is it many of these corporations don't pay a dime in taxes yet get huge rebates in the billions of dollars. Let me ask you, does this seem fair?

How US corporations don't pay their taxes According to The Government Accountability Office, some of the country's most profitable companies aren't paying their fair share of taxes. Due to legal ...

There are so many people in this country that just don't get Medicare for all. People don't understand that 25% of your premium goes straight to the insurance companies for managing your healthcare. These are the people that tell you that your case isn't covered or that only pay a portion of your medical expenses. These commercial enterprises are there to make money they are not there to make sure you are happy and healthy. They collude with the pharmaceutical companies and so many doctors in the medical establishment. They get kick-backs drug companies by selling drugs that are not the cheapest, they prescribed the ones they get kickbacks for. Sure, your taxes will go up, but it won't go up as much as your insurance premiums. Most people pay $1000-$2000 a month for their medical care and have used deductibles and caps on catastrophic illnesses. I know, I used to be a life and health insurance agent. There is another thing, Medicare can negotiate drug prices with the pharmaceutical companies, it is the only agency that can do this.
