Kucinich will move to refer in his quest to get hearing before Committee on the Judiciary
A single Article of Impeachment of President Bush, which alleges that Mr. Bush sent the nation to war under the false pretenses, will be brought to the floor of the House this afternoon. Its sponsor, U.S. Representative Dennis J. Kucinich (D-OH), will rise to refer the bill to the Committee on the Judiciary. Kucinich has long been pressing for Impeachment hearings. He previously introduced 35 articles relating to President Bush and three articles relating to the Vice President.
Kucinich, under the rules of the House governing questions of privilege, read the Impeachment resolution before the House last week. Today the Clerk will officially read it into the record as a bill, it will be given a number and then will be subject to parliamentary motions. If Kucinich is successful, the bill will be referred to committee rather than tabled. Last week Speaker Pelosi, for the first time, indicated an interest in committee hearings on President Bush's abuse of executive power, including the issues that Kucinich raised.
"If it is tabled, I will bring another Impeachment resolution back this week," said Kucinich. "Our Constitution is being destroyed. We are losing our nation to a war based on lies. I am determined to get this bill to committee for a hearing," he said. "The President has conducted the affairs of the nation in a manner which cries out for justice and it is the Constitutional obligation of Congress to check his wanton abuses of U.S. and international law. We have troops whose lives were put on the line because the President told them Iraq was a threat to the United States and it was not. The loss of lives of our troops and of innocent Iraqi civilians is a direct result of the lies this president told to Congress. He must be held accountable."
The Article of Impeachment alleges that President Bush falsely told the nation that it had no other choice to go to war because Iraq was an imminent threat in possession of weapons of mass destruction, and that the President had repeatedly implied that Iraq had abetted al Qaeda in its devastating attack of 9/11. Kucinich, in his Article, cited documents which assert the White House knew the statements were false at the time they were made.
Dennis should be the next President of the United States as he is the only candidate calling to uphold the Constitution, return to the checks and balances provided by the functioning of the three Branches of government - Executive, Legislative, and Judicial, calling for the return of the Bill of Rights, discontinuing the fascist "free trade" agreements, and defending individual citizens rather than mega corporations.
But, because of these things, he has been cast as wearing a "tin foil hat" by the corporate media propagandists. That should have been our first clue that HE was the person for the job. Remember how Howard Dean, who tried to tell us WE were the power was treated by those same media propagandists? The same, he was insane because of his scream...
Leading candidates are simply allowed to be leading as they will further the agenda of the industrial military complex and mega corporate interests.
His resolution, although what the majority of Americans want, will go no further. Believe that.

Bravo Rep Dennis Kucinich, America's most courageous congressman.
"Hem & Haw" Chairman John Conyers, head of the House Judiciary Committee, has stated "we're not doing impeachment, but" Dennis "can talk about it". Yes, and apparently, keep talking about it, which fits in very well with this Chairman's game plan of letting the clock run out on his 110th "rubber duck" Democratic Congress without conducting even a single impeachment hearing on the 39 Articles of Impeachment pending in his Committee, 333, 799, 1258, and One Article last week, all "privileged".
However, Rep Kucinich stood up when it mattered and said what needed to be said, and his talking about it became an official record of the high crimes of an imperial presidency, unaccountable to the American people for anything and an abomination to a free and peace loving nation, all for the posterity of the American people forever.

It is time to pile on the House Democrats-Impeachment Now!
I think this is just a scam by Pelosi to make us think they will hold actual impeachment hearings and then run the clock out. We can however force them to do it if we are gutty enough.
What are you all waiting for? It is time to pile on the House Democrats with everything we have, challenging their fitness for Federal Office if they disobey their Oath and Our Constitution. Campaign against them.
Please re-read Dave Swanson's Call To The Peach Movement
Thanks to Kucinich for his determination and courage! He is amazing!!! And to Pelosi for shifting a bit on this! I AM WATCHING THESE PROCEEDINGS WITH EAGER ANTICIPATION!

Dennis Kucinich is "Boldly going where no other Congress person is willing to go..." He is STANDING UP by himself for OUR Constitutional Rights and the Rule of Law -- when everybody else {complicit or compliant as they are} is still sitting...mind-blowing!
It is a desperate time of Constitutional Crisis, Economic Crisis, a Moral Crisis and he's peerless -- to say the least. Where are his peers? They must be lobotomized to not realize the SIGNIFICANCE of staying seated at a time like this. IT HAS BEEN DULY NOTED! They are elected "Office Shills" -- a liability to the future of this once great nation.
Kucinich is on the Front Lines for US >>>>>>>Pointing at the Enemy.
Thank GOD for Mr. Kucinich and his Courage. Can any of his peers recognize and understand what he's doing? It is called LEADERSHIP! Maybe some other elected officials might want to jump on the bandwagon, and we might yet ROCK THIS HOUSE, 'cause its never needed like it needs it Now!
Cripes! You'd think they thought themselves invisible, and no one else can see their shame, their naked capitulation, their absolute weakness and non-qualifications for the positions they are in? Wake Up SLUGS!

Hey folks, why did nobody DIGG or REDDIT this article? Good god. Talk about sitting around compliant/complicit! No, I know you aren't: Let me correct myself. But let me point out that if we don't spread word, we are part of the problem. If we can rant and rave about the censored media, let us step up all the more to the plate as citizen journalists....and SEE TO IT that this makes it to the top of the Web! DIGG IT, vote, vote vote! Spread it around the web everywhere! Email chain letters ! Dial in to radio talk shows! What is all this sitting around? Good god, there's *only* an attack on Iran at stake, WW III, The Great Depression Revisited, martial law and and and.....we aren't helping to publicize this? Shame on you all! I am going to write an article right now, because this is not hte first time I have seen this happen. Here it comes!

I only wish there were more representatives who would stand up for our Constitution and help in the fight to save our nation. I have written my representatives and told them I support your resolution.
