Former Bush Press Secretary Scott McClellen’s revelations of media complicity in the run up to the Iraq war notwithstanding, the New York Times, June 5, 2008, on the front page of its Arts section, went to the expense of a dramatic full half-page color photo of a flag draped coffin containing the corpse of one of the thousands of American military back from the murderous occupation of Iraq and Afghanistan, ostensibly as an illustration of the glory theme of the book reviewed, “Final Salute – A Story of Unfinished Lives”.

The book, as reviewed in the Times, praises the ‘contribution’ of ultimate sacrifice and is a call for more honor and sensitive treatment of those fallen 'in service', but makes no mention of the hundred or even thousand fold mourning of the non-Americans who fell ‘in harms way’ of the invading Americans mourned - and who fell in their own country and homes.

With this featured poignant photo and review flaunting in face of the American majority against the wars of occupation, the New York Times, the academic leader within the conglomerate owned cartel of ninety-five percent of all print and electronic entertainment and information media deceiving our nation and world, continues its pro-glory and war justifying propaganda.

The blood of millions is upon the hands of media CEOs who manage public deception of current events, history and the realities of what could be our safe and enjoyable human existence.

And it is time for more media personnel, such as Bill Moyers and Walter Cronkite, to come forward to qualify and denounce their past participation in the greatest homicidal con-game ever.
