If you haven't yet indulged in this video clip, please do so.  It is film of protestors at the DNC.  You may feel like watching it many times over.

 [[FFN]]

What really strikes me is not the crowd reaction but that of the Fox News reporter and anchorperson.  While I saw many signs with different protests, Fox News initially claims it is a group of people who want to "Recreate 68."

All of the people are walking, peacefully, and some have their faces covered with bandanas.  When approached by the reporter who inquires what their issues are, none want to speak to him.  NONE.  Someone starts chanting "fuck FOX News" and the crowd immediately takes up the chant.  The Fox anchor says the crowd is out of control and that because they are out of control he cannot get their message.  Funny, I think their message was loud and clear...FUCK FOX NEWS.

Interesting in that two professional newspeople can't seem to hear the crowd's protest.  Apparently they don't want to talk to Fox News.  Instead the reporter says over and over, "do you not believe in freedom of speech?"  They sure do!  They expressed their freedom of speech to say, "FUCK FOX NEWS."

No Sh*t

Yeah,   Griff Jenkins calls the protest an "um, marching, uh, thing ". O-o-o-o-o-o-o, how scholarly! And OMG! He goes on to pontificate that "we don't know how rowdy this is going to be." Clever way to use the word "rowdy" in a sentence, when you don't know sh*t.

Here's what I posted at the site:

"Fox gets it wrong, again. The protesters never said "recreate '68". (That was manufactured by Fox, what a darling little rhyme. ) The message that Fox claims they cannot hear, was the chant, "F*%k Fox News!". Perhaps (and I'm taking a wild guess here) this is a response to the slanted, misleading, incredibly biased, so-called "news coverage" that Fox specializes in, as exemplified in this very clip. (Just ask anyone who was at the event. It was nothing like "Faux News" depicts here.)"

I got a little flack for it, as you will see, but we worked it out amicably.

It is an interesting piece of trivia, that if one uses the standard form of numerology, that the word FOX is "666" - and I believe that is the only word in the English language that can claim this "special" number.

That was really stupid

Acting like a bunch of profane little brats will not win you converts. Would you be celebrating this kind of speech if a bunch of conservative protestors started chanting "F*** MSNBC"? Hmmm?

Conservative Protestors?

I support any American's right to free speech.  Even if they want to say F**k MSNBC News.   Isn't conservative protestors an oxymoron?

I find it hard to believe that the public feels led astray by President Bush for leading us into a war blindsided. Where were you when Bush went to the United Nations for help in finding out if Iraq had WMD's. How many chances did we give Saddam to come clean only to hear over and over again "I need more time, No you can't enter Iraq" How many chances did we give him? If it was up to the Democratic party would we still be waiting?
Where were you when President Bush said enough... w...

The use of BIG words

Wouldn't it  be nice if the Democratic Party would take a stand without the use of four letter words?  Fox News tells it like it is..   The Media controls our Culture  and it's about time the public isn't brain washed with MSNBC  telling us the sky is falling..  What happened to freedom of speech?  Democrats can speak  freely but Republicans are silenced.

Freedom of Speech

The Constitutionally guranteed right to Freedom of Speech also guarantees the freedom to choose NOT to speak and the freedom to choose to whom one speaks. So Faux News disagrees. So what? That's also covered under Freedom of Speech.

Yelling 'F**k Fox News' is not be to everybody's liking, but again - So What!? the demonstrators were clearly expressing their dislike of Faux News. I saw nothing that was done by the demonstrators that infringed upon the right of the Faux News operative or his camera-holder to speak freely.

It should be pointed out that 'Faux News' is NOT the official voice of the Republican Party. It should also be pointed out that the demonstrators were NOT the official voice of the Democratic party. In fact, even the Faux News putz, got that much right - the demonstrators were expressing their dissent with the policies and platforms of the Democratic Party.

Jumping to the irrational conclusion that Democrats have a voice but Republicans don't is ludicrous. I suggest that you might read the official platform of the Democratic Party; you will find that the Anglo-Saxon word you find so onerous is NOT used nor was it used in any of the speeches made at the DNC.

By the way, wading into a demonstration against the flow of the march was an incredibly brilliant move if the Faux News propagandist's primary motive was to disrupt the march and irritate the marchers. Otherwise, it was about as stupid a move as crossing against the light or jay-walking on the expressway.

Are you alright?

Don, I watched many hours of the DNC and never once heard any party member use foul language.  On the other hand I've heard both Dick Cheney and John McBush use f**k and Mr. McBush even used the C-word on his wife!  Apparently you've been thoroughly brainwashed by FOX News.  All of MSM is corporate controlled and we currently live in a very near facist state.  Aren't you happy you're able to air your views on OpEdNews?  You must be suffering from a high fever if you truly feel that Conservative can't speak out.

Just more propaganda

Griff walked right through the middle of those war protesters, sticking a microphone in their faces and claiming these were the people who wanted to 'Recreate 68'? I'm sure I would've had a few choice words to say to him myself, but this is just another example of sensationalized news propaganda! Interesting the numerology for FOX is 666, what about ABC, NBC, etc.? They're all doing the same thing.
