Dear Tom,
I am just an ordinary reader of Information Clearing House who is writing to say how deeply concerned I, and many, many others are about the brutal threats made to you and your family.
Information Clearing House Publisher Threatened

"Mike Whitney – Fly by News August 6, 2008
My friend Tom Feeley is in Big trouble. He runs the web site informationclearinghouse.info which updates "news you won't find in the corporate media" every day. The site is strongly anti-war.
Tom has gotten his share of death threats over the years, but what happened this week is a lot more serious.
Two days ago, Tom's wife found three well dressed men in their kitchen. The man who did all the talking, told Tom's wife (I won't give her name) that Tom must "Stop what he is doing on the Internet, NOW!" As crazy as it sounds, he pulled back his lapel and showed her a gun of some kind which she could not identify. Like I said, Tom has been threatened before, but nothing like this. 4 years ago, he was in a parking lot at Long's Drug store in Southern California and when he tried to open his door to get out, a man in a car next to him opened his door at precisely the same time which prevented Tom from getting out. Then, a 40-ish year old man got out of the passenger side of the vehicle and approached Tom saying, "You need to stop what you are doing on the web".
Tom said the man was overweight and had his shirt untucked. Tom was taken aback, but (after collecting himself said) "What the fuck? Who do you think you are telling me what I can do?"
The man answered, "Tom, I'm just giving you some good advice. You should take my advice, Tom."
This is all I know about the incident. Since, then, there have been occassional death threats, but nothing like what happened on Sunday. Tom's wife is hysterical and has not returned to the house since the incident. She contacted the FBI but the FBI said their was nothing they could do. Tom and his wife separated recently after a 30 year marraige, so he is publishing from a different location.
The well-dressed man told Tom's wife that he knew where her son lived, what line of work he was in, and how many children he had."

Thoughts On The Harassment Of Tom Feeley
http://www.roguegovernment.com/news.php?id=11277
Tom, we are networking this as much as we can- and would like to see this reported by as many of the alternative online news sources as possible.
This is oft-quoted, but it certainly is pertinent:
"In Germany they first came for the Communists,
and I didn't speak up because I wasn't a Communist.
Then they came for the Jews,
and I didn't speak up because I wasn't a Jew.
Then they came for the trade unionists,
and I didn't speak up because I wasn't a trade unionist.
Then they came for the Catholics,
and I didn't speak up because I was a Protestant.
Then they came for me —
and by that time no one was left to speak up."
-Pastor Martin Niemoller
As for me, I AM speaking up! Speaking up on behalf of freedom, not fascism, speaking up on your right to get the truth out, speaking out on all our rights. How DARE they threaten you and your family! How DARE they!
There are people networking about this all over as I write this. We understand that you may have to/want to keep a low profile because of these fascist thugs, but we just want to let you know we are outraged by this and we want to DO something about it.
Please feel free to post this on Information Clearing House if you wish. And thank you, from the heart, for the work you do .

I always believed so.
very nice article,i always believed that human rights, and helping spread democracy everywhere is just a veil behind which there is a special second agenda against the regimes that dont comply with the U.S. nevertheless its good if it was the U.N. that carried on the human rights activities alone, but the double measures of condemning china and at the same time treating foreign prisoners unfairly like in guantanamo bay, rendition, extradition, and as you mentioned in your bio the patriot act and so on is certainly an effective way to lose international interest in the biased efforts to rally support against some oppressor regimes. I'd like to read your opinion about medical insurance, and wether you consider it another way to oppress people, and pressure their votes and their political freedom in choosing the right decisions? by being privatized instead of universalized? by george goubran (2 articles, 0 quicklinks, 1 diaries, 9 comments) on Saturday, Aug 9, 2008 at 1:14:45 PM

This is absolutely disgusting and downright scary! Whatever happened to the US's much touted freedoms? Oh right, GWB happened. I hope that making this whole ugly mess very public will offer Tom and others who have the courage to speak up some protection from this 'plain clothes version of the brown shirts'. by Loraine Hudelson (0 articles, 0 quicklinks, 0 diaries, 1 comments) on Saturday, Aug 9, 2008 at 4:31:32 PM

Tom Feeley Support
Yesterday I sent the artilce out about the harrassment to all on my list, Many are familiar with Information Clearing House, and the great source they have been over the years . We support you Tom,These thugs are the Terrorists, those who rather not see the truth come to light. They would not be coming forward unless they or their masters were being hurt by what is being exposed by the articles in ICH. Take heart in that. by Kevin Gallagher (0 articles, 0 quicklinks, 0 diaries, 29 comments [5 recommended, 0 rejected]) on Saturday, Aug 9, 2008 at 5:56:41 PM

First of all going to the FBI was probably not the most effective move to make. The local Police Department may have been a better resource. When things like this happen try to keep your head and notice things like get license plate numbers from cars. Make note of any identifying characteristics of the people. Call 911 at your earliest opportunity. Learn how to use a firearm and keep it in a place where you might be able to get it in an emergency especially if no small children are on the premises. I worked in corrections for a good number of years and received many threats against myself and my family. I guaranteed to those people that if they showed up at my home, they would not live through it. I had my vehicles vandalized several times but they knew I was serious about anyone messing with my family. If bullies think they can push you around, they will. by Bryan Emmel (0 articles, 0 quicklinks, 0 diaries, 415 comments [32 recommended, 0 rejected]) on Sunday, Aug 10, 2008 at 3:27:23 AM

Let us all hang together, or we shall all hang separately...
that is a partial quote, the soul of the thoght of Ben Franklin when our forefathers in democratic action and self-realization took their first steps and oaths to lay down the roads to freedom and democracy. Though imperfect, and hobbled by the context of their times, there is truly something stirring and awe inspiring for even the most hard bitten and worldly wise political cynic. But we need more than the most rhapsodic of their hymns to freedom, we need consistent action. And yet, this is exactly the call, clarion to its core, to all of us today who care. We must stand behind, beside, and all around Tom Feeley, and the Mike Rupperts, and Chris Bollyns, as they encounter school yard bully tactics ramped up by the high octane ill gotten gains of today's criminals in cahoots, in our incorporated world. We must truly all hang together, in hope and faith, or hang separately in cold reality. Three cheers for Tom Feeley, and all our support. I immediately looked at his site, and found one of the most moving video clips I've seen in awhile. It was Michael Parenti, Pulitzer Prize winner, raising the cry, across the border, to stand against the incredible monsters we've spawned in our money-addicted culture. He put his finger on the problem, folks: Worst Addiction in the World ( with apologies to KO, Keith Olbermann ). He pointed out that the worst of our problems would not be happening, if it weren't for the Cheneys and Bushes and their harlotry for more and more and more and more money. At the expense of the public. They know who they are, and so must we. by muservin (4 articles, 0 quicklinks, 0 diaries, 78 comments [5 recommended, 0 rejected]) on Wednesday, Aug 13, 2008 at 4:01:06 AM
